This guy is underrated. His stats get better every year. I think he\'s an 85 point player with 90-95 point upside (95 may be pushing it), especially when he and vanek have spent a couple more years together. Go get this guy, he\'s a steal as a FA.

I kind of like Roy, he just keeps seeming to break expectations. And then you get some picks, hell do it, I\'m a proponent of taking a chance.

it would depend on what the picks are for me quite honestly. i have some injury concerns about Roy and although i agree Alffy\'s getting older i think that if you wait on the decision you can get more as next season rolls along, particularly if you\'re not winning next year.

couldn\'t agree more, pencil him in for 30-35 Gs, 45-55 As and 50-60 PIM...he\'ll continue to have decent PP production too...Alfie is in decline even though he continues to impress me each year

I would ask for at least 2 first pick. I do agree that Alfy is not that young anymore but he still have a couple good season to come...

Also I have to admit that I hate Roy, to me I think he\'s the BIGGEST diver I ever seen in the league so...

OTT had a horrible finish last season and until their coaching and goaltending situation is resolved I expect player values on that team to be a little below market value.

Alfredsson has 1-2 more good years left in him. I don\'t mind the trade if you\'re not in contention to win now and are building with some good picks for the future, but I think you\'ll net more in return by the end of NOV than right now.

Hold off and do the deal [or another deal with Alfredsson] 2-3 months into the 08/09 season.
