Going into the final year in a keeper league. I have two 1st round picks. What\'s fair value for the 1st overall?
Wouldn\'t mind trading it if I could get a couple of top picks in exchange (ie: 2nd and 3rd, for my 1st and 10th)
Not sure if that\'s reasonable or even smart to consider?

if you own the 1st and 10th picks I\'d keep that as opposed to trading them for #2 and #3

naturally you take Stamkos @ #1 but then you would have some good fwds and perhaps d-men that will be available @ 10th

on the flip side -if you take the #2 and #3 and are high on filatov and doughty you end up looking pretty good too

How many picks per round in your keeper league ?

In deep league, a 1st overall pick might be worth a lot. It all depends who\'s available and what is your goal for next season. Try to find the guy who\'s desperate for a 1st overall pick.

Stamkos, Perry, Vanek, Radulov, are some of the guys that are available. It\'s a points only, playoffs included pool (final year).

If this is the final year I would stay away from Stamkos...Not gonna be a huge player yet for a few years. Rads is a nice pick but with Trotz still killing this guy I think the safe bet would be Vanek. Just my opinion.

I guess that this is the answer. Your 1st overall pick is worth Vanek. If you really want to trade this pick, try to get someone better than Vanek. Check Dobber\'s player ranking.

We start fresh every 3 years. Kinda a modified keeper pool.
