Yeah but we have 719 players left to pick and that takes a looooooooooooooooooooooong time. We need to keep a pace of about 7 or 8 picks a day.

At 7 picks per day it will take us a 100 days...

Hey guys, just got back. Dan made his pick already. Alfredsson. Mercs are up, then sd1976, Broad Street Bullies, Rad64 and Nehithaw.

I think that we will move faster than the schedule I put out. Now what use is the schedule!? If everyone checks their email/this site regularly, especially when they know their turn is coming up, then we should be fine.

No way can we get everyone together online, there will always be one. Regardless, if we are conscious of when our pick is near and ready to take a player, then it will go faster than 5 picks per day.

Hahaha don\'t stalk the poor guy, that\'s my job.

The worst is when guys leave for the day, but leave their IE on, and this website open... it\'s like an extra tease. It says they\'re online, but for all you know, they\'re in the drunk tank hahaha :silly:

I recall seeing something about a summer break. What was the purpose of this? Can\'t we just keep going at this pace (ok, hopefully quicker) all summer? If someone is going to be away for an extended period could they find someone to represent them while they\'re gone? I\'d prefer this to trying to schedule a draft which would be next to impossible...can it work??

Summer is unlikely to be well scheduled, people have vacations where it is just too hard, and its too hard to make picks out of context by a whole round. I\'m sure we could get some minor picking done, but nothing major will happen, its just too hard. It is likely that by the pool start we\'ll have a good skeleton of a team, and then just be adding some final pieces as the season begins.

On another note, how is waiver priority going to work? Because Stamkos, Doughty etc. will likely be hot commodities that can\'t be drafted.

P.S. would it be setting my hopes high or low for Jose Theodore as my starting goalie? this could be a nightmare

pascal leclaire is gone....it really sucks for the top 3 people in this draft, we\'re pretty much screwed for goaltending, which is why malkin is on the trade block already lol.

Ill package Jose when I get him for Malkin!

By the way, nice pick on Leclaire, I was really hoping, and actually pretty confident he would fall to me. You were supposed to be scared by injuries!

    No debate here.

What\'s not to like about this guy?

Ok, his +/- could be a little better, but like you said, he\'s 22.

See, a Sens fan and a Leafs fan can agree on something.

...if I might add, we are currently dating, and she is quite a handful in the bedroom...

    Occasionally...

I think the +/- should improve though as Washington looks to be an up and coming team.

Mike Green was a good pick, he is one of the premeir young \"D\" men in the league and if WSH doesn\'t go and get more free agent \"D\" this year I would expect much of the same from him.
