Default Submitting my Keepers: Do You Agree?

For keep-10 team and league in sig. Last year was the first year for this league, I ended up finishing first in the regular season and coming out victorious in the playoffs. My strategy and focus was building a team of strong multi-cat performers with grit along with strong goaltending. I dominated Hits, PIMs, BS and was solid in net (had to improvise after Ward went down).

Here are the 10 I plan on keeping:

    1. Lundqvist
    2. H. Sedin
    3. Backstrom
    4. Benn
    5. Backes
    6. Brown
    7. Ward
    8. Callahan
    9. Pacioretty
    10. Phaneuf

I've decided Phanuef is the only dman worth keeping (other than him, I waited on all my other guys and went for bs monsters with upside), and that I want to keep 2 goalies (Ward and Lundy). With this strategy, I would try and redraft Semin in the first round (or snag any better play available), before focussing on the best goalie available (someone that could push Ward to being my #3 goalie would be fantastic). After this I would load up on dmen.

    Thoughts?

Yeah I agree with your keepers and your draft strategy. You've got a ton of heavy hitters with upside, so you should be able to focus on some top end scorers early and fill the bench with BS like you said.

Yep. Completely agree. Those are the right 10 keepers for that format.

The list looks pretty good to me. My only thoughts is you could consider Carlson for either Backes or Brown

With a long term contract and first line minutes and first PP, gotta wonder if there is a place for Semin in your line-up over Callie or MaxPac.

I know, I had a Max-Pac vs Semin thread earlier as I was stuck deciding between the two. Semin is a bit of an injury head-ache, and isn't highly regarded in my league so I figure I'll do my best to redraft him. Callahan is an absolute beast in my format, and love the guy as a player.....I've won a title two years in a row with Captain Callahan on my team, so there's no way I could dump him for Semin.
