the islanders are finally getting some depth and one lf these days tavares is going to get some legitimate wingers to play with. i think the gap between the two is only going to widen.
Tavares is way way way way way way ahead of Giroux. Not even remotely close.

Tavares had 28 goals in 48 games last season. Giroux's career high in a full season is 28 goals. This is not close at all. JT should only be compared to Malkin,Stamkos,Ovechkin.
I wouldnt say its "not close at all" since Giroux is probably around the 6th-7th best forward for points in the league, while Tavares is 4th-5th.

Both top 7 guys for the next couple years but hat goes off to tavares. I feel like giroux is going to be hard pressed to top his performance from a couple years back but tavares keeps on improving every year.
