You might be the only person I've ever seen debate between a depth forward and a possible franchise star. Don't over think this one.
Niemi will be the safer choice since SJ is in an easier division and will continue to have superior offence to CLB.
Wrestling with keeping Backes or Yakupov, balance vs. sctrictly offense.
Also looking for input, Bobrovsky vs. Niemi as a keeper?
Team is in my sig.
Thx,
Jer

With your settings go with Yakupov. He has a chance to be elite and could outpoint Backes as early as this year.
Backes is only an elite option in leagues that count HITS, otherwise as said he is a middling depth forward.
As for the goalies, I'd take Niemi. I have serious doubts that Bob can repeat last year's numbers.

Thanks guys, my analysis comes from FHG. Backes always ranks highly in most pools due to his dual eligibility, +/-, shots, PIM.
According to Dobber projections, Backes ranks 25th overall in this format.
That said, I'm not sure Yaks would make it past the first round - whereas I may have a shot at re-drafting Backes.
Cheers,
Jer
