Keeper Question
Hello. Kovie has left a hole with my keepers this year.
Malkin, Giroux, Getzlaf, Perry, Kunitz, Weber, Letang, Fleury are pretty much locks. That leaves me one more.
I'm leaning towards Burns as having a fwd in a D spot should be sweet, but I hate leaving Max Pac as LW is my thinnest position. Pavelec starts a lot of games and it's a w/so league.
Burns, Patches or Pavelec?
Thoughts? rep as always.

Interesting thoughts for sure.
Personally I will stick with Pacioretty. I would rather have a guaranteed quality player like him on a thin LW then a solid Dman playing forward.
Would you trade Max Pac away for Brent Burns if this was offered to you?? I know I wouldn't. Thats all I would need to know to confirm my keeper.

Who are the other goalies that could be available come draft time? In a 10 team H2H league, I would probably stand pat with Fleury and just draft whoever is available after. However, in a ROTO league, Pavelec becomes an important piece, especially if you only count wins and SO.
I would not count on Burns having dual eligibility here. Therefore, in terms of offense, Max Pac is a better choice IMO.
I guess it's between Pavelec and Pacioretty for me. I would keep a goalie and try to redraft a 70 pt player if goalies are hard to come by in your league. If not, Patches is the easy choice for me.

I'd stick with Pacioretty.

Just wanted to update everyone as I made a trade last night. I gave MaxPac and my 1st for Rinne and his 3rd.
This solidifies my tenders (I'll draft a third late.) In a W/SO league, hopefully Rinne can get me a few SO's as that's why I lost last year.
This means my keepers are Malkin, Giroux, Perry, Getzlaf, Kunitz as Fwds, Weber and Letang on D and Fleury and Rinne in net.
Thoughts?
