Default Help Me Pick My Keepers (Please)

This is a Limited Keeper 14 Team League

Keep 5 Forwards, 3 Defensemen, 1 Goalie, and 3 Players 23yrs or Under
This is a weekly roster and we have active roster spots for 3C,3LW,3RW,1Util, 5D, and 2G
We also have a large bench, but that is not really relevant at this moment.

Scoring : G,A,PTS,+/-,PIM,Hits+Blocks,PP+SHP, 2xW+SHO,GAA,SV% (This is a CBS league so we can have custom scoring formulas)

    This is my roster:

    John Tavares
    Matt Duchene
    Mikko Koivu
    Taylor Hall
    Tomas Fleischmann
    Ryan Clowe
    Marian Hossa
    Jarome Iginla
    Joffrey Lupul
    Mike Ribeiro
    Mike Green
    Alex Goligoski
    Brian Campbell
    Oliver-Ekman Larsson
    Joni Pitkanen
    Mikael Granlund
    Ryan Strome
    Daniel Carcillo
    Ales Hemsky
    Clarke MacArthur
    Roman Josi
    Tomas Kaberle
    Sheldon Souray

    Pekka Rinne
    Semyon Varlamov
    Michal Neuvirth
    J-S Giguerre

Right now I am thinking to keep the following:

    F: M.Koivu, M.Hossa, J.Iginla, J.Lupul, M.Ribeiro
    D: M. Green, B.Campbell, OEL
    U23: J.Tavares, T.Hall, M.Duchene
    G: P.Rinne

The two guys I am really not sure about right now are Ribeiro and Campbell. I like both, but Ribeiro on Phoenix is not Ribeiro on Washington. Also Tavares, Duchene, and Koivu taking up 3 center spots I would need to consider him my utility. Campbell is great for points, but not sure he will excel in other D categories.

I can also try to make a trade, but remember this is a limited keeper, so it's hard to propose a deal unless keepable players are involved.

Any and all advice is appreciated!

I'm pretty close, but I'd probably drop Ribeiro. For two reasons, one center is a deep position. I think it will be easy to re-draft him if you want at good value. Ribs gets no love in drafts and will likely fall a lot this season with his move to Phoenix. Goligoski is starting to come into his own. 40+ this year.

I thought about Granlund as a U23 keeper, but after last season I am wondering how long it will take him to be relevant. I want to win this year. I won 2 years ago, and placed in the money last year with 4th. Strome I don't think will be relevant. If this wasn't limited keeper I wouldn't even think about it for those guys.

I like Seeds' suggestions with the exception of keeping Ribeiro instead of M Koivu. To me, Ribeiro will be the go-to guy in Phoenix (even though it is Phoenix), which is not the case with Koivu in Minny.

The other thing I am nervous about, without looking at other rosters, not sure if your team can win this year, without some upgrades. Good team for sure, and likely in contention as well, but in a 14 team league, likely not the top 2 in terms of depth would be my guess. Goaltending may be a concern especially if Nashville struggles.

What are the trading options with other GMs?

Well the league had some re-structuring so half the teams are going to do a re-draft in a little over a week, then pick their keepers. At that point I will have a better idea of what some teams needs may be. I was thinking of packaging Campbell and Goligoski for a D upgrade. Not sure what player I can target though.
