Yakupov should not be on the bubble at all. He's going to be an elite player. So for me, it's pick one of Semin or Skinner. I think Semin is the better short term option even though he should regress from last season, although Skinner is much younger and has a lot of upside. Just depends which you are looking for. Personally, I'd probably gamble on Skinner since most of your team is so young.
For me, from the bubble guys, I would be keeping Yakupov and Skinner. I tend to avoid Semin at all costs.Originally Posted by NordiqueFan

I would actually keep all three and dump Schultz. I will likely take heat for this but I would rather have top forwards than top d in a points only and Schultz max upside is 65 points max. Most of the time he will be 50 I don't see Karlsson in Schultz. Plus Schultz is still just one half season in the league and d take a lot longer to develop. I like to take the strategy of trading for d as apposed to trying to draft them, as hitting on a forward prospect is easier than hitting on a d prospect. I might try and shop Schultz and Skinner (or Semin which ever got me a better forward) in a package and try to upgrade Skinner or Semin to a Duchene or RNH or something along those lines just a thought. Okay then sorry I missed that in the origional post I am dumb. I would keep Yakopov and Skinner then. I might then do the opposite of what I said above take Semin or Skinner and Schultz and upgrade him to something more immediate like Pietrangelo or Letang or hell try for Karlsson. Something along those lines but I do think Schultz will be in that category eventually not Karlsson but the other guys, however he's not there yet and I like proven over unproven almost every time.

I'd keep Semin over Skinner. Semin is guaranteed top-line minutes in Carolina. Dobber has him pegged for 67pts and 1PP. On the other hand, Skinner is pegged for 47 points, and that is with Dobber placing Skinner on the 2nd line and J.Staal on the 3rd line. I'm not sure I see that happening. Plus with all Skinner's concussion issues, I just am not keen on him.
^ this. I think Skinner rebounds to more than respectable numbers this year. Or at least I hope he does.
