    Default Who Do I Draft?

I have the second overall pick. Team and league info in sig. I'm really debating going with one of the big vets or one of the rookies. Looking for any insight.

    TOP UFAs

    1. Vincent Lecavalier
    2. Milan Lucic
    3. Nazem Kadri
    4. Mikhail Grabovski
    5. Dan Girardi

That's about as big as it gets for UFAs. Only Lecavalier and Lucic pop out as worthy of the draft pick. My other dilemma is the rookies. Do I draft one of the 5 guys I mentioned or one of these rookies?

    1. Nathan MacKinnon
    2. Jonathan Drouin
    3. Aleksander Barkov

I'm not sure who the guy drafting first will pick. He's new. However, one of these 8 guys will be there.

    Thanks.

Lucic or Girardi are huge in this league, with hits/pims, but it seems you got those covered already with Backes/E.Kane/Landeskog and you can always find more later in the draft.

I'd definitely go with potencial/upside and pick one of MacKinnon or Drouin.

I agree with tomastop's comments. Lucic will be a solid player in this league but I think I would go for one of the kids, depending on who goes first overall.

Go with Drouin if McKinnon goes first. If not then take Mac

Agree, and may be you will be able to grab Girardi in the second round, but Drouin and Mack are my choice !

It's MacKinnon or Drouin, whoever is there.

Lucic has more value than either of these guys, but you still don't take Lucic.
When a league has 12F... you can simply restock Lucic's better cats (PIM/Hits), by drafting a dedicated PIM/Hitter in a later round... and there are tons of them: Matt Martin, Clutterbuck, Derek Dorsett. No problem.

The RAREST stat in fantasy hockey is PPP. In limited multi-cat keepers, you need to have guys that are offensively gifted, because there is a finite number of 20+ PPP players. These guys are NEVER on the waiver in deep pools. 150+ hit guys, 150+ PIM guys, they are always there. Just snag them if you need those cats.

MacK... Drouin... for the 2nd. As easy as it gets.

I was leaning towards the same thing. I had Lucic a few years ago and traded him (got a good return). The reason he was dropped this year was because of his poor performance (last year) and the fact that next year he gets his raise ($6,000,000 instead of $4,083,333). I also like Girardi, but I feel like he might drop to the 2nd round.

Thanks for the input. Appreciate it as always.
