I just went to Yahoo! Sports NHL and didn't find any rankings.
I also went to PuckDaddy and didn't find anything.

I'm guessing that Dobber must have had conversation with Wysh... but I don't see anything on Y! NHL or on PD yet.

I'll be excited to see it if/when it does happen.
    Strange.

I replied to the Help Community guy asking about the odd date/update on the apparently out-of-date page, and whether he knows for sure if it'll be early September or could it be earlier. We'll see what he says:

^Good post hf. Thursday, Aug 22... eh?
    Nice attention to details.

    I'm crossing my fingers.

Working for "the company", I've learned that "the company" always suggests a later delivery date only to wait... and go...
"BAM - I tricked you... earlier than promised delivery date!" (and... proceed to claim awesomeness)

HF and PEN...please keep this post in mind if any new information comes to light. I can't wait to see what we're looking at for the upcoming season in Yahoo. I have some people sniffing around my Streit and if Burns even has a possibility of D status...I may as well act aggressively and make the move that makes the most sense.

Heck...even if I take a chance on Burns and he ends up being RW only...At least he's on my Roster...(should his positional eligibility change) and I'm looking at grabbing a Defender with one of my top 28 picks in the draft.

(I know for a fact Fowler, B. Smith and Beauchemin will be available not to mention S.Jones). With the 6th overall pick...I look to peg the best player available, but then I have the 12th and 28th picks...I"m sure I could nab a D by then (B. Smith I anticipate will drop substantially as most of my fellow GM's don't have a clue about him).

I guess having Karlsson and Suter...I"m a bit more apt to take chances...especially on my blue line.

Yahoo! Fantasy Hockey: We'll tweet out info as soon as registration opens. Apologies, but don't know the date yet.

As long as it is August, I'd be happy. Even Aug. 30th.

interesting article on NHL.com today below. Are they blowing smoke or does Cubetta really have inside info on Yahoo positional eligibility?

    See Burns and Yahoo eligibility.

Could they be getting close? On the main hockey page, they used to show links to all my leagues from last season, but now they only show the one where I am commissioner. Perhaps setting it up for renewals? Could be nothing but thought I'd share anyway. Tick tock...

Yup... my 6 Yahoo! leagues are now showing just the 2 that I commish.

Of note, I walked through the Yahoo Hockey pages (which are not, necessarily, linked to Yahoo Fantasy Hockey) and it does seem that they have primary positions listed properly for all non-Penguin players:

Jamie Benn, LW (pretty good, since Benn played C last year)
Tyler Seguin, C (pretty good, since Seguin played RW last year)
Brent Burns, RW (pretty good since he's announced to play RW)
Henrik Zetterberg, C (normally a center)
Pavel Datsyuk, C (normally a center)
Claude Giroux, C (been a center for 2+ years now)
David Backes, C (been a center for 2+ years now)
    Jiri Tlusty, LW
    Jeff Carter, RW
    Michael Cammalleri, C

Even Marcel Goc is correct, C.

Only two key wrong ones I spotted:
James Neal, LW (primarily the RW with Malkin)
Pascal Dupuis, LW (primarily the RW on the Kunitz-Crosby line).

It will be interesting to see if these are reflected in Yahoo Fantasy Hockey.
(and that is why I have written them down.)
