14 team league, standard yahoo scoring, 1 year league.

I am going to go into the draft with a draft the best 2RB I can in the first 2 rounds, then go WR for a few rounds. Want to wait until 6-8th round to draft a QB and will hope to pick up a steal at TE. Will be looking at Cameron, Cook, Pettigrew, Bennett as options.

Depending how things are going I might go for a Fred Davis, Vernon Davis in the 4th or 5th if they are available.

Late round qbs I will be targeting: the ones previously mentioned.

Drafting tonight at 7:00 pm on yahoo will post my results afterwards.

    1) Who would you start in week 1?? V.Jackson(TB) or H.Nicks(NYG) ??

    2) Am I smart to own Ray Rice and his backup(Pierce)?? Or is it just a waste of a spot??

    3) Why is Chicago not RANKED number 1 as far as defense goes??

    4) What do you think of this squad: (standard scoring) 12 teams.. 10th overall pick..??

    QB: Ryan(atl) and Flacco(bal)
    RB: Rice(bal), Miller(mia), Pierce(bal), Greene(ten)
    WR: AJ. Green(cin), V.Jackson(tb), Nicks(nyg), S.Johnson(buf)
    TE: Gonzalez(atl) and Bennett(chi)
    K: Walsh(min) and Scobee(jac)

The guy in 10th spot drafted really well and "stole" alot of my prefered picks, so I had to improvise. How did I do? What is my main weakness and who do I move to improve?

    1.9: Spiller
    2.2: Graham
    3.9: Cruz
    4.2: Gronkowski
    5.9: Sproles
    6.2: Lamar Miller
    7.9: Miles Austin
    8.2: Mendenhall
    9.9: Vincent Brown
    10.2: Andre Brown
    11.9: Russell Wilson
    12.2: Romo
    13.9: Broyles
    14.2: Hillman
    15.9: LaFell
    16.2: Ravens
    17.9: Bullock

That leaves me with (highlighted my expected starters):
    QB: Wilson, Romo
RB: Spiller, Sproles, Miller, Mendenhall, A Brown, Hillman
WR: Cruz, M Austin, V Brown, Broyles, LaFell
    TE: Graham, Gronkowski
    K: Bullock DST: Ravens

Well done. Your WR 3 and subsequent depth is questionable but otherwise very solid. Graham + Gronk could be huge.

Love me some Graham teams. Nice work. WR2 and 3 are a tad weak, but you can get by. Excellent everywhere else.

    1. As of this moment I would start VJax over Nicks in week 1.

    2. I don't personally like handcuffing, but I understand it. Rice has been very durable throughout his career though. There is talk of Pierce being more involved this year and while I am skeptical, he is worth holding onto for at least a few weeks to see if he gets any significant touches.

    3. Because Seattle, San Francisco are definitely better and an argument could be made for Houston and Cincinatti being better as well. The Bears play in a division with high scoring teams in Green Bay and Detroit as well.

    4. RB depth is going to be tough. If Miller doesn't hit then you are in trouble at RB2. You definitely do not need to carry more than 1 D and K so drop Scobee and PIT since you like the Chicago D so much. I would also drop Bennett and Flacco. That gives you roster spots for 4 more running backs and/or receivers. I would look to trade either VJax or Nicks for a RB of similar value as well.

I wish that was the case.. But the league rules state we have to have:
    2 QB, 4RB, 4WR, 2TE, 2K, and 2DEF..

Would you trade YOUR S.Johnson(BUF) and either Pierce/Greene for Givens(STL) and either Ingram/Redman??

Ugh. positional restrictions are really annoying I would get that rule voted out for next year.

I would definitely trade Steve Johnson and either of those (preferably Greene) for Ingram and Givens. Not for Redman.

RB and QB are a strength. WR is a huge issue after Cobb. I'd start Mendenhall over Kendall Wright in week 1.

Like the Thomkins pickup for sure. There may be better options out there than LaFell, but he is solid as a WR5 or 6. If you share what other WRs you are considering on the WW I can advise.
