Hoping to sign off on my keepers until the draft date.
Noticed that in our settings, Dubnyk was actually really productive last year.

    Just some comparisons.

    Dubnyk:298.6 points
    Price: 297.3
    Smith: 276.2
    Crow:273.1
    Quick: 242.6
    Anderson: 225.6

Dubnyk is available, I could swap Hiller for him (or keep hiller and try and grab Fasth/ or Dubnyk with one of my first couple of picks)
Thinking as the years go by Edmonton is only bound to get better, will Nurse help Dubnyk?

    Basically wondering: Dubnyk or Hiller?

I have no idea what "EGA" so that may alter my analysis.

Your scoring setup is skewed to favour guys who start a lot of games. with a .3 for Save and -1 for GA even giving up 4 goals in a 25 shot performance is solid. I think Dubnyk will continue to improve and the Oilers will win more games. Equally important Fasth will seriously eat into Hiller's playing time reducing Hiller's value. I'd much prefer Dubnyk who has LaBarbrea backing him up to Hiller who has Fasth.

I'd prefer to hang onto Dubnyk than swap for Hiller and then waste a pick trying to lock up the Ducks tandem when you could improve elsewhere with that pick.

EGA is 'Empty net goals against' seems like an absolutely redundant category? Unless the empty netter somehow counts against the goalie making the .5 helpful?

Good call though with wasting a pick on a backup, I will have 3 starters and if a goalie is available at a good time I could pick one up!

It'll be three years before Nurse has enough of an impact to help Dubnyk. I think that EDM will trade to bring in a new goalie, which will spell the end for Dubnyk. Even if Fasth displants Hiller, which I think is possible, Hiller will be a number one goalie somewhere. I dont feel the same about Dubnyk.

This is why I would advise to try and trade Dubnyk and keep Hiller.

Any ideas who Edmonton might try and bring in? One of the Blues goalies?

    Options:
    1. Go with Dubnyk as my 3rd goalie
    2. Go with Hiller & Fasth (drop/trade Dustin Brown)
    3. Go with Dubnyk and one of either Hiller or Fasth (drop/trade Dustin Brown)

    4. Left field option: Pick up Varlamov and hope he stops 45 shots a night (15pts) and only lets in 5 goals (-5) = 10pts a night? Drop Hiller/Brown

I don't think Edm brings in another G. I think they ride Dubnyk, at least for this year. I easily take a starting #1 G in Dubnyk over a platooning, injury-prone, albeit very talented, 1a G in Hiller.

PS, as I said before, I really don't like your scoring system. In no league whatsoever should Dubnyk outperform Price or Quick

Tell me about it haha, I am determined to win this league in spite of a sketchy commissioner and skewed scoring! If last year was a full 82 game season or I had access to the 2011 numbers this would be so much easier (I could always spend a day plugging in numbers to our scoring settings to see how goalies would have totalled in 2011)

Is my speculation about a brutal colorado team relying on Varly out to lunch? Can he really stop that many shots lol?
