Interesting first period. Must say I am surprised at where the good Pittsburgh defensive play has gone ... they sure didn\'t play all that well in that area in the first period.

But this is pretty much what I expected, the fact is these guys just can\'t be stopped by this particular team (I know I know, only the first period of Game 1)

But really either of these teams, if they play like this against Detroit, they\'ll get eaten alive.

Oh and 0 penalties so far by the FLyers - now THAT is a surprise!

I don\'t see how these two teams can challenge DET unless they smarten up tremendously defensive wise.

Are the young guns of Pitts able to adapt to a game of patience, waiting for holes in Det\'s game?

Perhaps Philly would be a better match-up with their 3 tough lines? Too bad about Timonen and even though Osgood isn\'t that good, Biron would need to stand on his head against Det for sure.

The debate: Crosby, Ovechkin, Malkin will continue.

Fleury has outplayed Biron, albeit Fleury didn\'t look good on the \'wrap around\' goal.
