I, too, would like a better forward in return for Crosby.
You can always play up the fact that Karlsson wasn't really as good when he returned from his injury in the playoffs and say that you're concerned about him moving forward.

In a 10 team league, every team is absolutely stacked. Therefore I think the strategy is to consolidate talent, and in this case Crosby is much more valuable IMO.
If it was a 16 team league, it would have been hard to turn down an offer like that. In a 30 team league, it would just been insane to pass on that but in a 10 team dynasty league I much prefer having the best player in the world.

Wow that's tough. I hate to say trade Crosby, but you are getting a heck of a lot. Getzlaf is only 28,was well over a point a game last season, and is a stud and you are getting the best dman in the game that's younger than Crosby too. To me adding Karlsson basically for free probably makes up the difference in downgrading from Crosby to Getzlaf. It seems like a good deal. I'd probably advise you to do it, but I wouldn't blame you for being too hesitant to pull the trigger.
I'm probably one of the most irrational Crosby supporters around, but I see this trade as a pretty solid win for you:
Karlsson = Crosby -- in terms of relative value at their positions
Getzlaf = freebie to sweeten the pot
When the "add in" is a PPG center who replaces your exiting superstar, I'd take the deal. Hard to advocate trading Crosby, but this is more than appropriate value. I think you actually get younger, too (avg. age between Karlsson and Getzlaf).
