draft keeper help - first yr

Your next pick depends on the talent that is available. I think I would go with the best player available. If there is a lull in picking goalies you may be able to go ahead with another winger, preferably someone on the right side, although shoring up the left side behind Semin isn\'t bad either. With Price in net, perhaps a workhorse of a goalie like a Vokoun that will play 70 games the next couple of years may not be a bad choice either. All depends on who is left

I\'m not a big fan of Semin at all either. Would take Vanek over Semin but UW picked before you and I would assume the good LW were running out and he was the best available.

For your next pick go for a starting goalie if there are any left or a LW.

yeah i was thinking that but a little later. if hes still around. like i said hard to say who im thinking about because alot of people read this who are in the league. but there are some good goalies left as well as talent. we are only 43 picks in.

yeah vanek is a good pick but i would have still gone with semin. he didnt have the best yr but watching him through the playoffs i have grown to get a man crush on him. he didnt score but with 28 shots in the first round and he has one hard shot. additionally next yr as teams start to crack down on ovech semin will step up on the second line and put up the great numbers. he is young and i think will be AWESOME. plus my league counts SOG\'s he is looking at high 200\'s next yr.

there is one other LW that i was debating but most people dont like the team he is on so he might be around for next round. and if he isnt i can always pick up elias in a later round noone ever takes him and i would be fine grabbing him like in the 10th or 11th round

Can\'t agree more on this! Altought I think Price should be fine next year, I would definitely look for another good starter now.

If you\'re talking about who I think, I would definitely don\'t hesitate to grab him. As I said, just make sure you have another decent goalie.
