Oh come now, there was more implied than that...especially as you called the Hawks in 5

it's like an East Coast vs West Coast thang ain't it? I'll be Biggie and you can be Tupac...they're both still alive right?

I don't know much about rappers, so I don't get the reference.

However, I do think the Western Teams play a style that is mostly different, and tougher to play against, than the East. But we'll see. Been fantastic hockey this postseason. Hoping for more!

Both teams are peaking at just the right time, and both have solid line-ups from top to bottom, although I think the B's are more well-rounded overall in terms of having more tools in the box whereas the Hawks rely on the streakiness of their firepower.

The tipping point for me is in nets where I think the B's hold an advantage. Crawford has been stellar no doubt, but Rask has been outer-worldly. Sure the Pens got swept, but in several of those games they had tons of chances, and the entire time Rask was unflappable. The dude's intensity and poise is something to behold. For that reason I take the B's in 6.

Detroit shouldn't even had one win in that series against the "mighty" Hawks.. LA was clearly hurt(Stoll, Richards, Brown, etc.) and battled the Blackhawks hard..

    Come on Bruins!!
Enough with your Hawks hate, dude. The Bruins were minutes away from losing to the Leafs in the first round. I'm a Hawks fan but have a lot of respect for the Bruins, just as I had for the Kings, Red Wings and Wild. The Hawks have not been perfect, nor have the Bruins, but they've each been the best in their conference. I think this will be one hell of a series... bring it, B's!

I think that Chicago as the edge in this series, but Boston will be hard to beat if they play their game right.

Didn't want to start a new thread about this, but I figured it was kind of relevant... Jack Edwards is pretty much the biggest homer announcer in the league. His only rival is Eddie Olczyk for Chicago. So we have the two biggest homer announcers in the NHL with this matchup. Goody. However, I've now come across a pair that beats them. The Syracuse Crunch announcers are the most unprofessional and biased announcer pair I've ever heard. One of them is, get this, a scratched Crunch player, and the other calls Desjardins "Cedrick" more often than his last name. They regularly question the most blatant and obvious calls in the world. I'm telling you, they make Eddie Olczyk come off as a Wings fan!

Back to the regular talk now Had to get that off my chest
    GO WINGS!

I like the Hawks in 6.

Im pretty torn altogether on this series though. I think I would prefer the Bruins to win the series; not because of the Hawks beating out the Wings (I hold no grudges for that), I just love the B's style of play. Also....Im 15th in a pool an the only one left with Boston and Chicago as my teams. Still a ways back from 1st, but top spot is north of $1400!

On the other hand you just don't see teams play PERFECT hockey for long stretches at a time, and that's pretty much what the Bruins have been doing. Don't see it lasting throughout the Final and I think the Hawks hitting their stride a series later is going to win this for them.

I think the Blackhawks have the speed to put the Bruins in peril for the first time since they played the Leafs but with the zone they are in it might be tough. I just want this series to go seven that way we, the fans, win.

Two things ( of many) that must happen for the Hawks in this series.

    1) Toews has to turn it up in the scoring department and win draw battles vs Bergeron.
    2) Hawks need to play disciplined hockey. ( Andrew Shaw)

Actually its the furthest thing from hate if you actually know me Guvnah, feel free to do some research.. I respect the Hawks for making it this far and for being such a great team.. I also respect the Penguins, but wasn't wrong when I pointed out their bottom 3-4 d-men.. I have seen alot of Oduya play live, so I know my stuff when it comes to his game..

Its funny how everyone keeps bringing up that the Bruins were minutes away from losing to the Leafs, ok, and?? So what should happen now?? Hey, not that it matters, but the Hawks were 60 minutes away from losing to the Red Wings.

I have a lot of close friends who are hawks fans and I am happy for them. But doesn't mean I should like them in this series against the Bruins.

Goodluck to you and your hawks, every game will be fought tooth and nail..
