I like the Nyquist + Postma for Conacher deal. After watching every Sens game since being traded I have to admit I'm not very impressed. He has a ton a grit, but doesn't seem to be able to make a big impact. He's a rookie and playing for a new team, so I'll give him some slack but that's my observation. I like what I saw from Nyquist in the few games I saw as well and I think his upside is a lot higher. Postma is a bonus.
Iginla is a great win now addition. He's got a couple good years left.

Great returns on both trades. Impressive.
I'd be happy with both deals. Using a sell-high in Conacher to land the guy that's going to be #1 in Detroit once Datsyuk and Zetterberg start to decline was a good move. He's going to be much better than Conacher in short order. Ritchie won't be making an impact anytime soon, so moving him for Iginla makes sense if you're looking to win now. That's the lowest return I've seen on Iginla this season.

Positive feedback. Love it. Conacher (for Nyquist & Postma) went to a team who won it all last year and had a disappointing season this past year. Said team has some nice players: Stamkos,Tarasenko, E.Kane, Letang, Quick and youngsters like Kuznetsov and Scheifele on the horizon.
The team that gave up Iginla is in total rebuild going young, so it worked for both sides. My team pushed and fell a tad short. Had Mr. Benn not had his wrist injury, perhaps things would have been different. Just looking for more immediate fire power from my forwards. Fingers crossed.

Timely thread - I am talking to a fellow GM about Nyquist and am offering up Conacher (those are the 2 main pieces). Was thinking about posting about it, my initial feeling is that Nyquist is a far better option than Conacher, so I will be watching this thread.

I'm also deciding between Conacher and Nyqist for my final keeper spot (although I don't need to decide for forever, that will be a forum post later on this summer) and based on advice from Dobber and watching the playoffs I am definitely leaning towards Nyqist.

The 2nd deal I think we will have to wait and see where Iggy signs for next year to see if you won that deal. If he stays in Pitt then you won the deal but if he joins Sutter in LA I think you lose the deal.
