The more I think of 13 reasons why season 2 the more I hate it.

My girlfriend started watching 13 reasons... at first I ridiculed her for watching a teenagers show... and then I eventually got hooked lol

Haven't seen season 2 though.

Season 1 was a book and the writers had direction with how they wrote it. Season 2, since the book was a stand-alone, season 2 had a lot of things to try and explain that season 1 wrote out. Season 2 was obscure and just seemed lazy almost. The acting was odd outside of Clay (main character). Writing seemed to be like short sighted or quickly written (lots of story lines that were started and ended), the character traits seem odd as in they were fixed in season 1 but appear in season 2 again?

I dunno, season 2 was ok, but the writers were dumb. They have Clay do something at the end of the season where psychology experts downright have said in front of the writers in talk shows is 100% the wrong thing to do in ANY instance. Which is odd because the show is supposed to show you the proper way to act for teenagers. I dunno. Just seemed odd.

Anyone check out Dietland on AMC? It's an interesting premise, and I usually like shows built on an interesting premise. Jury's still out for me on this one.
The most hilarious thing about it is the weight they obviously made Julianna Margulies drop for her role (I assume to contrast her even more drastically with the obese main character). Man though, JM's arms are like toothpicks. It's kind of gross.

The writer of the book said she got her inspiration from seeing Fight Club and wanting to write a female version

Two episodes into "Safe", and I like it so far. It is at least a show that both my wife and I can watch together. It isn't too sappy (sappy is not for me), but it isn't too dark either (dark is not for her). Can't see how they can do a second season without it being too unbelievable.

Has anyone watched "Rain" on Netflix? It looks OK, but it is probably too dark for my wife.

I cant watch shows that are dubbed or use subtitles. I mean, I can watch them but I hate watching and reading at the same time so I never bother. I have heard a lot of good things about it but it's not up my alley.

I absolutely love this thread. I'm not at all up on shows, and this place has directed me to some really wonderful content (Safe, Evil Genius, and just starting Mind Hunters). I might check out Rain next; subtitles don't both me if the content is really good. Dietland sounds a little too disturbing...

I gave Rain a shot. Got about 6 episodes in and couldn't bare it anymore. Very slow and dry, in my opinion, considering the premise.

I hardly watch any tv, mostly just watch youtube but I've really gotten into watching Masterchef. Even Masterchef Canada is fun to watch.
