From the sounds of it I need to give that show another chance, but it lost me season 2.

Two more February issuances I'm excited about:

1. Les Revenants (The Returned) is streaming on Netflix on Feb.19th. This is a french show (not the movie) and first season was quite eerie and good to watch. Funny that they have a few english phrases they use ("Lake Pub").
2. 11/22/63 is streaming on Hulu on Feb. 15th. Early reviews are not good - which isn't a surprise considering all Stephen King books turned mini-series seem to flop - but wife & I both read book, which was terrific (IMO). James Franco stars. The filming mostly took place in Hespeler, Guelph, and Ayr Ontario - so some of you from those parts might catch a few places you recognize. (I guess they still have a 1960s feel to them!!!! LOL) My sister is former Guelph grad up in that area still and caught some of the filming one day from a distance.

They've actually nailed it more often than not. But the Gooding casting is so awful that it could seriously sink the ship.

You're watching it and getting into it and then he shows up onscreen again and it's as if someone just pulled the emergency brake.

It's not that he's bad, he's downright awful. He's not anything like O.J. - looks mannerisms, voice, nothing. He's a more distraught version of the character he played in Jerry Maguire.

I could also do without the quick side scenes of the kardashian women as ''kids'' .Yeah we get it , they were normal at one time lol.

Sorry to say but S2 of Revenants was a let down. Not quite the drop in quality from S1 to S2 that we saw in True Detective, but a BIG drop nevertheless.

FX appears to be the new AMC, in terms of putting out quality shows.

I have never been a huge fan of AMC. I thought Breaking Bad was good, but not amazing, and The Walking Dead is a frustrating mess. FX, on the other hand, has had Justified, The Shield, Archer, Rescue Me, The League etc. While The League and Rescue Me both deteriorated through the latter years, they were still both worthy television, and Justified and The Shield are in amongst my favourite TV shows of all time. FX is awesome, and in my opinion, well above AMC.

I don't know that I'd agree that AMC is inferior to FX, but regardless FX has been around longer and has the larger body of work.

If anything, AMC is the new FX and not the other way around.

Mr. Robot episode one was a dandy! 9/10 thus far. fast pacing, solid acting not overly difficult to follow...would recommend even for the non computer geeks like myself. episode 2 soon for me.

Better Call Saul is phenomenal. Have to admit, I had doubts the creators of Breaking Bad could pull it off again, but wow... love that show.
