I may try Daredevil out of desperation... I've heard mixed reviews on it, but hey I persevered through season 1 of Gotham so it can't be much worse than that...

Have you been watching Wayward Pines? It's a new show thats only four or five episodes in but so far this is a pretty good show.

I couldn't stand watching Gotham, but I really liked Daredevil. The villains are definitely the best part of daredevil. Season one can be summed up as Matt dealing with his work/life balance and Wilson learning successful dating habits.

I've enjoyed Daredevil so far, but I'm only about 5-6 episodes in.

I hated the OITNB first episode, season 3. That was pure crap. The second episode was better. I hope is stays being good. I haven't written it off yet and I'm still quite keen to see episode 3.

Regarding Wayward Pines, I usually like to wait until a season has been renewed for a 2nd before starting the first. I'll put that one on the radar. Netflix really has some good shows and I like to be able to watch them all at once.

Don't know if they have been mentioned already (maybe even by me?), but for my money the hands-down best two shows on tv right now(ish) are Louie and It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. Honorable mention to Game of Thrones....

We have very similar tastes, my friend. I've applauded BCS many times. Curb is definitely one of my favourite comedies. It struggled initially, but was hilarious after the first couple seasons. I seem to have a soft-spot for sitcoms that don't use a laugh track... Curb, Veep, Larry Sanders, Simpsons, Family Guy, American Dad (btw, for those who haven't seen Larry Sanders, it's worth it just for the Hank's videotape episode - that old classic was critically acclaimed for a reason).

Shows like Big Bang Theory and 2 1/2 men... I think most of the humor is laugh track generated and I hate it. Feels like the writers treat their viewers like sheep.

(for the record, some laugh track shows are/were pretty good... Seinfeld was excellent, Friends, Cheers, Frasier also, among others.)

Yup similar indeed. I hate shows with laugh tracks. Seinfeld was the exception.

I started (and finished) watching Silicon Valley. It's only two seasons but it was very good. I'd definitely recommend it. It's on HBO.

With Game of Thrones ending it's perfect timing for True Detective Season 2 to start up tomorrow. That will be my new show for the next 8 weeks.

It's a brand new release in June - Netlix Original.

I'm 2 shows in and damn it is awesome. I'm not gonna write much about it, go see for yourself.
I'm still very early in the episodes so far but love it!!

I just finished Daredevil last night.
Very good. 4.5/5 stars.
D'Onofrio (Wilson Fisk) was a pretty solid villain choice!

A week ago I watched the first episde of Sense8... I wasn't that impressed... but based on the two of you, I'll try to watch a few more episodes.

Hulu had a 2-month free sign-up offer a week ago.
So I joined up and vowed to power through all 9 seasons of Seinfeld. In mid-Season 2 right now!!!

Dude are you kidding? Ray is the best show on TV right now. Think Soprano's set in Hollywood with Irish, Boston crime ties. Incredible characters and acting. It's probably my favorite show right now, even edging out Homeland which is incredible.

I just finished season 4 of Homeland this weekend!
Without spoiling anything for readers I'm glad that season went in the direction it did, however, the finale wasn't as exciting as I expected!
I am going to check out Ray Donovan!

I also finished Daredevil last week. I thought it solid... started off slow, but picked up immensely in the middle, and tapered off a little at the end of the season, but still very good for a superhero type of show.

What I really like about Daredevil is that it's more about the characters and story development as opposed to the typical superhero show that is more reliant on special powers and freak of the week.

Also agreed that Fisk is an awesome villain!

Yeah, Daredevil actually works because it's more of a crime drama show pretending to be a superhero show. It's going to be really funny next season if Wilson gets released from prison because of a technicality that was missed in due process. I like the fact that it's not about fighting different super powered bad guys every week. Season one was essentially Gangs of New York.
