Paramont+ has a Gabby Petito doc from 2022 that I just watched. It's the van girl who's fiance/husband murdered her in 2021. It's actually really good.

Monarch: Legacy of Monsters: Comes out on Tuesdays/Wednesdays on AppleTV. Ep1-3 are out now and I gotta say I really like it. I'm a sucker for the Godzilla movies though, but the CGI on the monsters in this show are reallllyyy good.

Just finished Season 4 (the last season) of Jack Ryan on Prime last night. It was excellent although I dont understand why they only had 6 episodes this season versus 8 episodes every other season.

Maybe something to do with the strike this summer? I'm excited for my next journey in the Jack Ryan universe once it's time to spark up a new subscription.

I'm still polishing off what I have left of my Paramount+ sub. Some options:

The Gold: 10/10 - I am once again recommending this show based on the true story of a gold heist in 1980s Britain. It focuses on class and corruption and is just a tight and brilliant series. Especially great for folks into heists like me.
Special Ops Lioness: 5/10 - Taylor Sheridan makes EXCELLENT pilots and for a short series like this a good pilot is enough to carry you to the finish line. Didn't love it, but it was decent TV. Not sure I want another season.
South Park: 10/10 - both the latest season, and their Panderverse special are just hilarious. No one deconstructs our culture better than these guys.
The Curse: No Rating - I can't properly rate this because I can't stand cringe comedy, it makes me sweat just thinking about it, but for fans of cringe, and Nathan Fielder specifically, this show is peak that and also stars Emma Stone. It's not for me, but a lot of people will enjoy this.
Mayor of Kingstown S2: 6/10 - after S1 I would have been happy to come back to this world, S2 wasn't as good. It felt like a bridge to their next season. I'm not sure if they held things back for what they want to do in S3 or if they just kind of ran out of steam. It's also not uncommon. S2 is arguably the hardest season of television.

Finished up the second season of Reacher today. I quite like this show, and Serinda Swan was a great addition to the show this season.

Reacher is like the "male" rom-com. Cheesy dialogue, lots of coincidences to make the plot move, but you go "YA!" when Reacher does his thing.

been into' Loudermilk' lately, not sure why..its a dumb mindless thing i guess

somehow i git hooked into 'The Trust'. i felt bad for myself the whole time and was angry at the cast but i watched it all. i dont watch these kinds of shows much if ever but this one was such a simple concept and it should have been easy for the players to do, but it goes to show what paranoia and group mentality will do to your mind.

for those on Prime, the mrs and i watched all of 'Transplant' its your avg doctor show, but set in Toronto.i actually found it more entertaining than the Chicago MD show

I watched the first episode and it was really good. I also loved the first season, hated the others. I'm hoping this one is a return to form.

I'm 100% in. Everything about it is great. Easily better than seasons 2 and 3 and mixes the best parts of Season 1 with the Arctic isolation aspects of the movie "The Thing" with Kurt Russell. If you like police procedurals with a tinge of the mysticism/supernatural present in Season 1, get on that.

I enjoyed season one, but struggled to get through season two. It just lacked the same excitement for me.

I don't think any show has cast characters in distinct different setting seasons as well as Fargo (on FX).
Metacritic critics average out to an 80 score - which is pretty much "excellent".

We'll probably try the new True Detective, too.
This season (s4) gets a score of 81, thus far, from 45 critic reviews.

That's next on my list too! But I doubt my wife goes for that right after Fargo.

And yes their casting is phenomenal.
