Maybe it's time I give Westworld another shot. I gave up after the shit show that was season 2.
House of the Dragon tonight. I'm ready to get back into this world.
So watched episode 1 of House of the Dragon tonight. Overall I really liked it and think it sets up well.
So.... ***** Spoilers *****
- Love that it's Targaryen focused
- Daemon Targaryen is very interesting. Clearly a little scoundrel like and has no problem operating with little honor. The joust he seemed to embrace being a little shady
- Really like the characters Viserys and his daughter, Rhaenyra
- Love that we see Baratheons and Starks and Lannisters
- The writing and acting are really good
- The CGI was generally good, but there were some spotty moments for sure.
- They definitely hinted at instances of incest. I expect, being Targaryen focused, we will see a lot of incest.
Overall I really liked it. I give the opener a solid 8 out of 10.

Wife and I just finished two shows on Apple TV.
For All Mankind - NASA/space-exploration show that take place in 1970s (s1), 1980s (s2), and 1990s (s3) in alternate universe where Russians land on moon first and send first women into space first. We really like what they did with this show and the actors/relationships are great. It's one of those shows that gets better (even by Metacritic) with each season. So if you like s1, you'll like/love s2 and love s3. About 8 episodes per season, I believe.
Black Bird - is he or is he not a serial killer of underage girls? show. I think a few recommended that show on this thread. Thanks. Very good. Tight acting and really not a weak character. I didn't think I'd like the "pretty boy" main character (Taron Egarton) but he does well for his role. Based on true story. Most takes place in prison, but the FBI-exploration side story is also really solid.
We also watched one of those Woodstock 1990 documentaries on Netflix. That was alright. We background watched it. Wouldn't recommend, but it was good spacefiller show while we are on our phones.
So someone mentioned Severance? Just started watching it, Episode 4 done, wow terrific series and great acting. Obviously dark theme, Black Mirror-ish, but so well done thus far.

I watched the Manti Te'o doc. It's a watch. I knew the story somewhat because I was just getting into football when it happened, and college football wasn't part of my view yet. It was pretty nuts hearing Manti talk, a high up at Norte Dame talk, and the catfisher talk about what had happened. It was actually crazier than I had remembered.

Who's seen House of Dragons? What'd you guys think?
I'm watching it tonight so no spoilers
I finished both seasons of Wu-tang - An American Saga on Disney last night. Loved it from start to finish. Way better than I expected.
Again you don't have to be a fan of hip hop to appreciate this, but if you are you'll definitely love it.
