I need a new show...

Im just outside Halifax but grew up in the Annapolis Valley. I love the show myself. I hate some of the dramatics from the announcer but it is what it is. "Could it be.....???" LOL!

I've always been fascinated by Oak Island as well. Tried getting on a tour but they are sold out months in advance and with my work, I never know when I'll be around most months so I cant really book early like that. The closest I've been to being on the island is by kayak when the wife and I stayed at the Oak Island Inn a few years back.

Yeah apparently they are booking into the next season most of the time now. I wanted to take my little guy on the tour but would have had to book for 2022 and couldn’t be bothered to try to plan that far ahead.

Just wait for the Planeride from Hell episode. Wild stuff.

Yeah, I know the gist of that story so definitely looking forward to that. Watched the Owen Hart episode last night and that was another super hard one to watch. Just an absolute tragedy. Seeing his son all grown up though, he’s the spitting image of his old man.

Just finished the 2 part episodes on Chris Benoit and didn’t expect to be hit so hard by it. It was such a tragedy and the show does a great job at telling the story of Benoit without glorifying him after such a heinous act.

Didn't he suffer from brain injuries though that made him lose his grip on life (and thus the heinous act wasn't the same Benoit)?

Lol, yeah all the “could it be’s”… and they say the word “interesting” so much that me and my buddy played a drinking game to it. One day I’d like to visit that part of the country.

Yes his brain was revealed to be absolutely destroyed by CTE. One of the most degenerated they’ve ever seen. The show neither glorifies or vilifies him, it does a great job of presenting the facts and the case that it really was due to the brain damage

Thanks. Wasn't sure how much that affected him. It being as bad as you say it is, I don't really put too much blame on him... If people want to glorify his career, I think that's fine in doing so... NHL dragged their feet on concussions when here's an example of worst case outcome (not sure how timeline lines up).

Maybe a little off topic, but some thoughts on it. The Bushwhackers were much more entertaining

I just finished Maid on Netflix.

Man... that is a heavy, heavy show. I think it was more emotional for me because I am very sympathetic to the main character's struggles - my mom was in a similar situation when we immigrated here.

It's a fantastic show though... brilliant. Just heavy and sad AF at times lol 9/10

Im not sure why I'm watching Yellowstone anymore. I always thought it was just Sons of Anarchy with horses. What happened to the interesting characters of past seasons? I don't want to spoil anything but I feel like certain characters have had almost no screen time. If I see one more clip of a horse stopping.....


Onto Morning Show season 2. I would have loved if they just left it after one season. Season 2 feels very forced so far.

Started watching the Korean show Hellbound on Netflix. 3 episodes in, so far so good.

I liked the first 2 episodes but didn't think they were great by any means. That 3rd episode of Hawkeye was a lot of fun though. More of that please.

I can't stand Kevin Hart, but this show has surprisingly kept me hooked. 7/10
