Really enjoying The Night Agent on Netflix. I'm a fan of these action TV shows and halfway through, this one hasn't disappointed.

I'm two episodes in and finding it rather mediocre but willing to give it a couple more episodes to see if it picks up steam because it's in the genre of what I enjoy.

Episode 7 was shot in one sequence. It was great. I still yell out the line "I got stabbed!" from time to time.

I remember thinking this episode was an absolute rollercoaster ride. Didn't even clue in that it was all one shot. That's brilliant.

3 episodes into The Bear and enjoying it a lot. Get hungry for one of those sandwiches every time.

Ya that's the "one cut" episode I was talking about. It just ramps up stress the whole time in a controlled way.

Damages might be worth checking out. I think it changed network's in Canada for it's last 2 seasons and I haven't seen those so can't speak for them but I really liked seasons 1 & 3. Season 2 had it's moments but I remember being disappointed by it.

Lincoln Lawyer (TV Show, Netflix) had its moments.
I enjoyed the main character (Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, never seen him before) and his nuisances. The main case in the show was a bit over the top for my liking, but that is legal dramas after all

I watched the newest ep of Mando, it's starting to come together the random storylines. It def got me back on board, but still not the top season.

I'm always glad this thread is bumped.
The wife & I have been without a show since we finished Last of Us.

We're waiting for Yellowjackets s2 to be more like 4-5 episodes in before we sign up for Showtime.

We loved The Bear season1... "Lip from Shameless" is a fun "high-stress" actor... we both like him.
So - great to hear the reviews on s2 are positive so far!

I'm grinding through Boba Fett right now, since I read some people say it had some ties with Mandalorian.
It has its ups and downs... but I actually like the world they built around the Sand people on Tatooine.
I'll switch over to Mando s2 once I finish.

The show that wife & I recently finished was "SWARM" on Amazon Prime.
I don't think this show will be for everybody on this site... but if any of you watched "Atlanta" - it's produced by Donald Glover and his brother, I think.
We really liked it... it's a bit... mmmm... crazy. Crazy/murder/really!?!/OK... really/maybe.
A bit like shows we've seen... but a bit different.

It only got a 66 on metacritic... while is barely above our minimum (60).
But we were glad we watched it.



The show opens with one of those Fargo-esque describers of "Characters depicted (yada, yada)..." that makes you do a double-read on whether you got it right.
And... it's intentional... seriously... which can heighten the enjoyment of the show.

People seem to love it. I never got it. I just found every character loathsome and the overall experience unenjoyable. The point of this show is to demonstrate the corrupting effects of generational wealth and power and to that effect it (pardon the pun) succeeds, but I like to have redeeming characters or at least redeeming qualities to characters to have some kind of rooting interest.
