I'm not a doc but obviously, with a broken jaw a hit even if not to the head could cause problems. I assume they're looking for evidence the bone healing process is well advanced.
With Crosby we'll know about 5-6 hours in advance when he'll return.

Is this crazy talk or is there a chance...thinking about putting Sid in for the week. As stated above withe Pens guys tend to go from skating to game action pretty quick?
I think you guys are really stretching here lol
If you have to set weekly lineups I wouldn't be starting Crosby this week. If he comes back it will be for a game or two in the last week of the season.
Any updates? I wonder if he will play in the final week. Stamkos and St. Louis are only 3 pts back now, so he better return if he wants to win the scoring race.
Plus, I've pulled within 13 pool pts of the team in first place and would love to have Crosby back for a few games to give me all the help I need to take over the lead!

Are you in weekly H2H playoffs? If so, I probably wouldn't risk it unless some compelling news comes out over the weekend.

Should I risk it? Looks like I'll be in the finals for my H2H weekly league. It will mean sitting E Kane. The team I'm playing is real good, but I almost feel like rolling the dice. I have a good feeling......

"Really, right now, Paul Martin is a guy who is really on a clear path ... continuing to progress in his rehab and has a chance to ... probably play at some point in time," Bylsma said. "Other than that, it's not definitive for anyone else, as a plan."

To sum up, Crosby, Neal, Martin, Malkin not going to Ottawa. Will skate Mon in Pittsburgh. Letang (ill) seems unlikely for Ottawa
