absurd calls by the referee letting things go in the game then calls langenbrunner for holding/interference?
k fine he did get in shanahan\'s way
next play betts wraps his stick around madden and there was no call

NJ is so entertaining to watch when they pull their goalie
i was really looking forward to it
and for it to be wrecked like this

I couldn\'t agree more! For the record I\'m a huge Devils fan, so I might sound like a cry baby...but the refs absoulutely recked the end of this game. To make a cheap call on Langenbrunner with less than 3 minutes to go, and then NOT call the hook on the Rangers 30 seconds later was absoutely terrible! I have noticed that not only has the officiating been questionable in the Rangers/Devils series but other series that I\'ve seen i.e. Habs/Bruins? What happened to \"Gary Bettmans\" a penalty is a penalty no matter what time of year or what time in the game? Hopefully the Devils can use this as motivation going into the next two games.

I did...I don\'t know what to say about that. I don\'t mind the Langenbrunner call...but if you\'re going to be that picky, than call Betts! Too critical a time to be playing games like that.

to say nothing about the phantom icing call while the Devils were shorthanded because of that call...

I wonder if someone is going to lose their stripes in the offseason.
