Third period, Wings on the PP... the Niklas Kronwall flying elbowon Rich Peverly. WTF was that shit. Not only did he blatantly throw his elbow out but he jumped 18 inches off the ice. This isn\'t the WWF and we don\'t need to be revisiting any Macho Man Randy Savage flying elbows off the top rope. A head shot is a head shot... period. It\'s one thing when the guy is 6\'4\" and steps into a kid who\'s 5\'7\"... but when you leave your feet... come on. If the NHL wants to stop these kinds of plays these are the hits you have to start with, just because the guy bounced right back up doesn\'t justify handing out only a 2 minute penalty and not reviewing the action.

Yeah it was a pretty cheap hit. I was amazed that Kronvall was trying to look completely shocked when he got the penalty. I was surprised that a flying elbow penalty is only 2 minutes still.
