    Default Rondon, Reed, Jensen

    Are these three the next elite closers? I know Rondon has struggled and Jensen has League in front of him.....

    Because of that would you order them Reed, Jensen, Ronson? Or does Jensen get a boost because of the upside. We do count holds so he would still be valuable.

    I can't say much about Reed but I'll say what I know about the other two. With the exception of a rough start this spring, Rondon's got the confidence of the team in terms of having the stuff needed to close. I'm going after him in the later rounds hoping he'll still be there. Avila gave him some high praise in an interview this spring and well, he would know who's got good stuff and who doesn't. Jansen is the man IMO. Mattingly for some reason favours League but I really don't see him holding the job all season. Jansen likely won't see a lot of saves early but I think he'll take over sooner or later. I'm passing right over League in the draft and snagging Jansen if I can. Owned him all last season and he was lights out until the irregular heart beat popped up again. I think the consistency of his ticker is the only real obstacle he faces to becoming an elite closer. It is noteworthy that a third party cleared him for participation in the WBC so that is promising for him to start the year.

    Potentially, Rondon could be the best. Right now, Reed is the closer and due to take another step forward this season as the White Sox stopper. Jansen is the setup man, but could overtake Brandon League as he is known to be erratic.

    My order is as follows.

    Reed
    Jansen
    Rondon

    Jansen isn't closing, but is the most proven of the 3.
    League might not last long.
    Reed is the closer, but has the lesser stuff of the 3.

    League will be fine I believe in that park, the only question is if the control will be an issue again this year.
