Default Tough Call - Who To Keep??

    Hi Everyone,

Trying to pick my last keeper for my team in my 12 guy H2H league where hitting is valued slightly more than pitching. I'm deciding between the following for the final keeper spot:

    - Chase Headley
    - Allen Craig
    - Carlos Santana
    - Jason Kipnis
    - Paul Konerko
    - Jayson Werth

Here are the stats for the league:
Runs (R), Hits (H), Home Runs (HR), Runs Batted In (RBI), Stolen Bases (SB), Strikeouts (K), Batting Average (AVG), Extra Base Hits (XBH)

Thanks a lot! All opinions welcome!

Well I think you can officially narrow it down to Headley, Santana and Craig at the very least. What's the rest of your team look like? This could be easy.

Other Keepers include Pujols, Matt Holiday, CC Sabathia, and Cliff Lee.

I could also keep Gio Gonzalez, but the stats are slightly skewed towards hitter so I'm leaning toward Headley, Craig, and Santana. Santana only because catching is thin.

    What do you guys think?

    Thanks!

I would take Kipnis here. Plays at a very shallow position, huge upside, Indians have improved as a team in the off-season.

Craig is tempting, but I'd ultimately roll with Kipnis.

    I'm so torn.

Headley - had a huge season last year and they are moving in the fences at Petco
Craig - Has been a monster when in the lineup and should be in the lineup full time this year
Kipnis - Poised for a breakout, plays at a very shallow position, Indians lineup much improved
Santana - Catchers are very shallow, as always, but should be getting a lot of AB's as 1B and DH

At the moment I'm leaning towards Craig because 3B is pretty deep, don't yet trust Kipnis, and I love Santana but he hasn't had a huge year yet.

    Any other input?

    Thanks guys

I would heavily factor in Craig's history of injuries and his emergence at 28. Chances of him even playing 130-140 games? I would rate that pretty low given his history.

I would probably go Kipnis. He has a bit of power and plenty of speed at a pretty shallow position and he is only 26. His best years are ahead of him I believe. I definitely see him as a 20HR/40SB type which is pretty good for your 2B. I don't think you would go wrong with any as long as they stay healthy.
