    Default Is Beauchemin for real??

Sitting 11th in D scoring, massive top PP time even with Fowler back, thriving under Boudreau, still only 33...

He did pot 8 goals last year and has had over 35 points before. Is this just a good run or has he really found his niche in ANA and this is what can be expected going forward?

What's your take on this guy? I grabbed him off the wire a few weeks ago with the intention of shipping him down the stretch (im out of it), but am now starting to wonder if I may be better off keeping him for next year.

Shortened season, stats are skewed. That is not say he isn't a great defenseman (because he has been), but his real life value will be a lot more than his fantasy value going forward.

Think JM Liles is a good buy low right now for Beauch? Im looking ahead to next year, and he will be in a different uni, hopefully running a PP.

Just hope it is not a Marlies Uni

I think trading Beauchemin for Liles straight up, would be a mistake. Better off keeping Beachemin if you can't do better than Liles.

Ya, I'm torn. I think JML is likely gonna get shipped and like his offense better than Beauch, especially if he lands somewhere good.

But Beauch is making me a believer.

Your D moving forward is looking pretty good...esp with Karlsson.

You said you're out of it (oh...and to answer your question...no...Beauch IS NOT this good in full season moving forward)...and Beauch's value is RIGHT NOW. The kinda guy that could put a team over the top.

Look bigger. Package Beauch and a marginal forward to see if you can get an upgrade elsewhere. You do not need Beauch this year or next with guys like Carle and Karlsson...etc on your squad. You picked him up to move him...take full advantage of his bloated value...toss in a Tlusty (ish) player and see what you can get.

I wouldn't expect his current level of production to continue.

Neither do I. Over his career he has averaged a point every 3 games (171 pts in 515 GP), he has gone on hot stretches before where he has averaged a point every 2 games but I dont trust him to maintain that pace over a full season.
