Example of this year\'s draftees:
1. Chicago Blackhawks
Who they\'ll take: Patrick Kane, C (London Knights, OHL)
Height/Weight: 5\'9.5, 160 lbs
Statline: 58 GP, 62-83-145, 52 PIM
Why they\'ll take him: Because they need him. Kane is American, flashy, fast and will generate plenty of highlight-reel plays.
Where his strengths lie: On the ice, specifically with the puck. Besides elite stickhandling, Kane protects it with Kopitar-esque ease.
What he\'ll do in the NHL: Potentially score 100 points a season, with 30 pounds and 2 inches of growth.
When he\'ll be in the show: He could go next year in limited minutes, but it\'ll be three years before full-time duty is realistic.
2. Philadelphia Flyers
Who they\'ll take: James Van Riemsdyk, RW (USNTDP)
Height/Weight: 6\'3, 200 lbs
Statline: 42 GP, 33-30-63, 81 PIM
Why they\'ll take him: He dominated the U18s, he\'s a hometown boy, and he\'s a typical Flyer: big, skilled, and hard-hitting.
Where his strengths lie: In his body. He\'s a bit like a young Lindros in terms of sheer power. This translates into powerful strides, shots and hits.
What he\'ll do in the NHL: Have a Jeremy Roenick-like career. Without the mouth.
When he\'ll be in the show: It\'ll be a little while before he\'s finished cooking. At the very least, he\'s five years away.
3. Phoenix Coyotes
Who they\'ll take: Jakub Voracek, RW (Halifax Mooseheads, QMJHL)
Height/Weight: 6\'1.25, 187 lbs
Statline: 59 GP, 23-63-86, 26 PIM
Why they\'ll take him: The Yotes have loaded up on centers (Mueller, Hanzal) and need a supporting cast.
Where his strengths lie: Maturity. His shot, frame and style of play are pro-ready. He\'s also ridiculously clutch.
What he\'ll do in the NHL: Enjoy a lengthy career as a power winger who can score 35-30-65 a year.
When he\'ll be in the show: Two years from now.
This is what you will see from 150 draftees from this year, in the guide. So no, the teams aren\'t specified, but you know what you\'re getting.
