Any drafting tips for someone who has never been in a keeper or roto league. :unsure:

And....will all of this seasons draft picks start at $5.00 (Stamkos, for example)

1. pick the best player for your team! (sorry, don\'t tell but i am new to the roto and keeper drafts as well!)

2. Anyone not listed with a salary is $5
(everyone that played a game last year should have a salary)

ridinryan44, you are number 3 on the waiting list. I still have four guys that haven\'t answered my request for confirmation if they are still in. We have changed some of the rules since I first came out with this concept, so I need to know if they are still in.

Personally, if you don\'t answer your emails it\'s a bad sign. Of course, if you are on holidays it\'s a different story. I sure hope I don\'t screw someone over because they were on holidays!hmy:

Hey Chinny, great job with the salaries. I have a question (and maybe I\'ll be sorry I asked), what is the formula you used to calculate them? I would be interested in using it to \'predict\' player salaries for next season - since at some point we will be working off projections, it would stand to reason that by plugging projected performance into your equation I could anticipate what their salary will be at the end of the year. Would that work or do I need a NASA computer?

I have yet to find an easy way to explain it but the way it works is this

you get the stats from the past 3 years
in every stat cat you give them a % of the max for that cat.
so the top Goal scorer will be a 1 and a guy that has 50% of the max goals would be a .5, this is done for every stat.
We then take 1/6th (there is 6 stats) of every percentage and add them together to get that persons rating for that year.
We then take 10% of the oldest yr, 30% of the 2nd oldest wave, and 60% of the most recent yr. that becomes the players 3yr rating.

from there we get a min and a max and then we interpolate it between the salary ranges of $200-$5 and that becomes the players salary.
