I am tempted to say Labarbara will take the bulk of them. Even if Bernier comes up, I still see a split type of thing.

so you think Ersberg was a flash in the pan.

I think Bernier will split time with either Laberbra or Ersberg.

    Not so sure bout that.
At the start of the season Bernier was given a hard look to see if he could take on the starter role or at least back up.
This season it will come down to the camp and who wins the jobs. They are all signed..but Clouts is 3.1 mill and now a career minor leaguer. Labarbera will prolly be trade bait as he has some value. Ersberg and Bernier will duke it out for lead dog. Ersberg has shown he can get it dun at the NHL level with his play lately.
Why you ask do I think this way? Simple its rebuildin time in LA and they might as well out with the old and in with the new. This way the team comes up together. Plus Ersberg and Bernier are cheap, $575,000.00 and $850,000.00 respectively. This is good for the cap for a few years anyways. Man look out for these guys a few years down the road!

So are we in general agreement that the Kings won\'t bring anyone new into the mix?

I agree that Bernier probably isn\'t going to take over the number 1 spot right away but then again there may not be much competition for starts.

Personally, I favor Ersberg but consider that Bernier and Cloutier will be in the mix. I don\'t think that LaBarbara is going to be there. imo.
