Everyone wants a 1st round pick, no one wants to give one. Other than the Spurs, and the Magic don't want their bad pick. I thought this year's draft class wasn't going to be good, anyway.

" You said you don't give a f*ck about hockey. I've never heard anyone say that before."
Still an hour and a half to go and some teams will start to bend towards taking second rounders because those come with non-guaranteed contracts. Get a couple of seconds instead of a late first, there's value there.
Some other teams will bend on trading the first too if they are able to dump enough salary in the deal. The big reason teams won't move a first even though the upcoming draft is terrible is because with the cap restrictions in this new CBA the rookie contracts have become even more valuable but someone will bend if it gets them out of cap hell.
Right now the most likely trade appears to be Jordan Crawford to Boston for Fab Melo... otherwise known as much ado about nothing.
They say Smith (Atl) and Howard are good friends. I wonder if they'll try to do a LeBron and Wade. There are two teams in the running for Smith. I know of one - The Nets. It would be crazy if somehow Dwight Howard and he hooked up.

I can't imagine a scenario where New Jersey gets both Howard and Smith but yeah those are Atlanta dudes so you can imagine they might try to team up somewhere. The issue is that there's nowhere that's a good destination except maybe Atlanta and only if they deal Horford. Perhaps an off-season sign and trade there if Atlanta keeps Smith.
A couple of mini-deals look to be done:
Miami trades Pittman and 2nd rounder to Memphis for trade exception.
Washington trades Crawford to Boston for Melo.
Pittman is bunk, just another big body for the Grizz and basically just taking on some salary to gain a pick and make some use of their trade exception. Heat have some flexibility with Pittman gone.
Update on the second deal: Apparently it's not Fab Melo going the other way. So that still needs to get sorted out.
Not sure anything involving Jordan Crawford is necessarily a steal. He could have some value if corralled under a good system with the right team and maybe that's Boston but the guy is way too much of a loose cannon/relentless gunner for how mediocre he is. He's like a terrible version of Nick Young who is a terrible version of Jamal Crawford.
Heat are looking at Kenyon Martin to fill that roster slot with Pittman gone. That would be a nice pick up. Get K-Mart his ring.
Raptors get Bassy Telfair for Haddadi and 2nd round pick. I don't mind it since Bassy has an expiring deal and is seemingly an upgrade on Lucas III.
Crawford to Boston for Barbosa's expiring deal. Washington basically just trying to get a couple million off the cap the next two years since they weren't using Crawford anyway.
Latest rumours are that the Bucks are still hard after Smith and that Boston + OKC are interested in Gortat.
I'm still waiting for the Jazz to do something crazy here. They keep things so tight there. Remember when they dealt Deron Williams without warning? Could easily happen with Millsap or Jefferson if the right offer comes.
Apparently Courtney Lee to Minnesota for Brandon Roy is a thing for some reason...
Bucks - Hawks - Mavs could be working on a three-teamer if Smith is going to be moved.
How in the hell is no one pony-ing up for Redick and how the hell is Orlando not settling for whatever garbage they can get for him. Redick isn't going to re-sign in Orlando this summer. WTF, this is one ludicrous game of mediocre shooting guard chicken they are playing.
Maynor is going to Portland for sure. Not sure on the return. Supposedly the Thunder were looking for a 1st rounder but it might be hard to squeeze that from the Blazers so I'm guessing a 2nd or two.
