Dallas has been atrocious in the back-end of road B2Bs going back to last season. Obviously whatever they're doing to rectify this situation just isn't working.
Just goes to show that Lehtonen is their undisputed MVP.
Sorry guys, went for a casino run last night with a buddy. For those of you that care, it was a good one. Haha. Anyways..
Studs
1. Torching the Stars
Wow, what a boxscore. Only six people on the Flames failed to score a point, and hardly anybody owns those guys anyway so who cares. Mike Cammalleri led the way coming off the IR with four points (3G,1A), and was a plus-three with a powerplay point, and five shots on goal. Cammalleri now has nine points in eight games.
2. The Real Deal Jimmy Neal
With a bit of a slower start in January (five goals in seven games), James Neal has busted out in February on a pace much more similar to last year. Capped off by last night`s three point performance (2G,1A), Neal now has eight points in seven games in February.
3. Patrik "Don't call me Aki" Berglund
Wanted to give a stud to the third game of the night, and found this guy on the boxscore. Now I know some of you don't give a donkey's behind about plus-minus, but you're doing something right when you were on the ice for all three of your team's ES goals, and not on the ice for any of the opponent's ES goals. Not to mention Patrik Berglund finally broke out of his four game skid with a goal, after posting seven points in his first eight games.
Duds
1. The Cookie Monster
I don't think there was an event last night that had a larger fantasy impact than the one that didn't appear on the score sheet. I actually found out from the casino dealer, after I told him he looked like Shea Weber. You know what happened.
Cooke --> Skate --> Karlsson's Achilles tendon--> Surgery --> Out for the season --> Lots of ****ed over fantasy squads.
Now you can argue about whether or not it was dirty. But for the sake of these studs and duds, there's no doubt Matt Cooke just ended some people's fantasy seasons, not to mention Erik Karlsson's season....and the Senators' season.
2. Go Bach to the AHL
I feel bad for whoever used Richard Bachman for a spot start. Six goals allowed on 22 shots. From the looks of it, it looked like the Stars were pretty garbage last night in general, but come on six goals?
3. Missing the Mule
On the flip side of Berglund's plus-three performance, we had Henrik Zetterberg and Damien Brunner who may have been missing their third line mate. The two of them were minus-three on the night, with Abdelkader (the third piece) getting off a little easier with the minus-two. To say that these guys want Franzen back would probably be an understatement.
Quick Hits
- Alex Tanguay registered another two assists and now has 11 points in 11 games on the year.
- Sidney Crosby got three points (1G,2A) and now has 20 points in 14 games.
- Chris Stewart notched a goal and an assist and now has nine points in 13 games.
- Just about everyone on Dallas was minus a billion

RETIRED
Did the casino dealer grab your head and shove it into the wall?

For anyone that cares Hudler now has 9pts in 8 games with 1 goal last night, seems to really be clicking with Cervenka.
