Why isn't there any friggin protection there is my question? The shots are getting faster and harder but these guys refuse to protect themselves. The team should insist that their investment has to protect themselves as best as possible or their contract can be nullified. Same goes with defenceman who don't wear extra protection on their ankles.

Just my thoughts.

Only question is when will he hit the IR list?
Will the Maple Leafs call up sb. soon? today?

I already got Jamie Been NA and Adam Larsson (Healthy Scratch), so I can't afford another player not playing...

In the case of Lupul (and other Band-Aid boys) that should be made mandatory as part of their contract.

Heard about the injury this morn, while watching NHLN. All I could do was shrug and shake my head. Unreal....

Lol. No not quite. It's just that there has to be a way of protecting players (investments), from shots below the head. You think the forearm would be protected by either the elbow pad or glove. Their shins, knees, thighs, stomachs, hands, shoulders and elbows are all protected from impact by the puck. I know this was a bit of bad luck but, it shouldn't of happened.

I am hearing conflicting reports, some saying "up to 6 weeks", others saying "at least 6 weeks". Any word on which is official?

Does it really make a difference? I don't think anyone can be accurate to the week. Healing time varies with individuals.
