I think that losing your 1st pick is a little too steep a price. I would keep gabby instead, cause i think as someone has already pointed out, Gabby + 1st > Kovie + 4th

Not necessarily. If I drop Kovie, he may well be the no. 1 player available. If I do not get first pick overall, I may lose him and end up with, for example, St. Louis and Gabby (not a huge St. Louis fan). However, if I keep Kovie, I may have a second round pick available (depending on final stats) or a third round pick (if not a second). That could net me Kovie and 75 pointer.

This, assuming a pick only Fs in these slots.

Not an easy call, but I will likely protect Kovalchuk.
