Watched 'Munich - The Edge of War' earlier this week. Provides an alternative perspective/narrative on Neville Chamberlain to the one I was fed throughout school (and via Seinfeld). Well done and Jeremy Irons still has some game.

The Tinder Swindler....the concept of the doc was 9/10. I feel like they could have done a bit better when they described the timeline but that's a bit knitpicky. I find it a little difficult to follow at first when the 2 story tellers look very similar, and I can't right out of the gate follow. Very small, and personal con on the doc, but it is what it is.

I would recommend people watch it.

Nightmare Alley. Maybe I didn't pay attention to the trailers enough but it was nowhere near what I thought it was about haha. I absolutely loved it though. Haven't seen a noir film like that in years.

Finally watched The Mighty Ducks trilogy with my 6 year old (in his 3rd year of hockey himself)… it’s been so much fun to revisit the nostalgia (I was 9 when the first movie came out which was the perfect age for it). I give the whole trilogy a 10/10 just based on the pure enjoyment I had as a kid and getting to experience again with my boy.

Now we are starting the Game Changers show. Somehow I forgot that Emilio Estevez came back for it. Loving it so far.

Sounds like I should watch Tinder Swindler. Maybe tonight.

Just watched Annihilation with my son. We both enjoyed it. Pretty trippy concept and definitely some trippy visuals in it. Would have been something that I would watch on shrooms back in the day. lol

    1) The Power of the Dog - Late-western psycho drama. Great. Makes you work a little bit to understand but it's pretty accessible if you pay attention.
    2) Belfast - A tough part of Irish history form the point of view of a child. Endearing and tender. Lovely film.
    3) Much: The Edge of War - A perspective from the war we have rarely seen in big movies. Still fun even if we know the ending. Cool to get these insights from a movie, great acting.
    3) Don't Look Up: Annoying. Could have been so much cooler. Good acting performances but the story wasn't delivered very well. Tried to be funny but only succeeded when Timmy Chalemet was there.
    4) The French Dispatch: Also kind of annoying, but still fun? Just not enough of a linear plot line for me to enjoy. Too many characters. But if you like Wes Anderson you'll like it.

Just watched the documentary Downfall: the case against Boeing. Enjoyed it, and gave me some clarity on the crashes that happened.

Also just watched the movie "Ferry". A European movie about a drug cartel seeking revenge for an attack on their gang. The movie is a prequal to the tv show "Undercover" which was highly enjoyable as well. As long as you don't mind subtitles. (Both are inspired by true events)

Randomly watched a movie called Whiskey Tango Foxtrot. Had never heard of it before, had zero expectations as a result. I enjoyed myself and I do recommend it. 7/10

Yeah, I didn't think it was as good as it was hyped up to be. All that star power and the not-so-subtle hits at politics, politicians and the like, but for the most part, it fell flat.

I watched Cry Macho the other day. I love Clint Eastwood but this movie was just painful to get through. Slow, dumb, and watching a 90+ year old Clint hobble around is just wrong.
