This might be the first time on dobber hockey that Halpern\'s name has appeared in a thread title haha

What\'s with this guy??? 9 pts. in 8 games since coming to Tampa Bay. I look to see who has the lone goal for Tampa tonight... and surprise surprise it\'s Jeff Halpern on the powerplay.. This is going against everything that I believe haha.

Perhaps AHL calibre players need an AHL centre in order to find the chemistry they never had with Brad Richards??

Well if anything, you need a guy for a single night for your head to head match up, you can add Jeff Halpern to the list of players to use in this situation, and the best part, I don\'t think anyone owns him in any league anywhere :silly:

Funny how a change of scenery can affect players sometimes, both good and bad.

Have to find out how severe the injury is. Personally, if you have unlimited pick ups and someone to drop, take a chance. The injury didn\'t sound all that serious - when you come back out and give it a go, it\'s often something that just need a couple of days rest or physio.

Oh how people forget the Halpern that use to play for the Washington Capitals. He use to be part of one of the best cycling lines in the league when paired with Konowalchuk and Dahlen, the guy can play and when used correctly can produce decently Id say next year he\'d be good for 45+ points 20g\'s or so

Personally, I\'ve done a lot of drinking in trying to forget the Capitals/Jagr era, so that would be when Halpern was around as well. There\'s just a big black spot when that actually occurred. If Halpern can continue his success with his new team, I think even 50 pts. next year would be an excellent year for a two way forward such as himself. I mean no one else is going to be around to put the puck in the net in Tampa after Vinny, St. Louis, and Boyle. He\'ll definately get plenty of minutes.
