    Default Pick up Andre Brown?

Would like some advice for my ESPN standard 12 team league - RB is my weakness as my regular starters (McGahee and Martin) aren't great. So I've been loading up on RB (I currently have 7) so that hopefully one or two of them pops in the coming weeks (either through an injury ahead of them or through injury).

With the news that Giants RB Bradshaw is having foot issues, I'm thinking I should pick up Andre Brown (I already have David Wilson) - but who to drop? Maybe Trent Hunter? Maybe Wilson himself (i.e. swap Giants' backup RB)?

    Advice would be appreciated.

You have too many RB, but I am aware that you are trying to get another stater.

That being said, Brown was just cleared to practice after suffering a concussion 2 weeks ago. If you want to roll the dice on his situation drop Bolden as he is suffering from a knee injury and Vereen just returned. That backfield is becoming a mess other then Ridley.

Again this is one man opinion, but he'd be the person I'd drop.

I'd drop Wilson. He hasn't been doing anything other than a 40 yd touchdown on one of his 2 carries in that game. The other carry was only for 1 yd (I believe).

You have some nice cuffs. Between Brown and Wilson, i'd go for Wilson. I woukdn't own all 3 Giants' backs. If you have to own another back i'd rather target a cuff like Blount.

Thanks both. I don't own Bradshaw so the most I'd own is 2 Giants RB - the question seems to be which is worth more for the rest of the year, Wilson or Brown - and it appears to be a bit of a toss-up (or toss-off as my Croatian friend says). Wilson clearly seems like the guy with higher upside/long term value but that doesn't count for much in this one year league. Brown has done more when given a heavy running load in a couple of games earlier this season, whereas Wilson has had tons of success on special teams so I could see them continuing him there and looking to Brown first if Bradshaw needs a break. Tough one, but I'm going to give Brown a go an drop Wilson. I don't think there will be a huge rush to pick up Wilson so I could always try to pick him back up if he pops. Thanks again.

Yeah I made that switch and then scooped up Dwyer from the Steelers when it was announced he was starting this weekend. He'll almost certainly be a one week pick up but hey, a starter is a starter for McGahee's bye week!

I hear ya about a starter during a bye. I wouldn't expect much from Dwyer, though. Our line wasn't run blocking when healthy and we have a few offensive lineman out. Knowing the Steelers, they'll make it a RB by committee with Batch and Rainey getting plenty of carries, too. If Blount is available, he'd be the better add for this game and the next three.

Blackmon - The only of the three who is a viable redzone targert. Oakland will put points up and Jax will need to throw a ton.

Dwyer - Will get more chances than Tanner. If the Steelers didn't have the decimated o-line that they presently have and if they ever were a team good at scoring TDs in the redzone, then, Dwyer would be a solid play this week. Alas, when healthy on the o-line and in the backfield - Mendenhall, they still suck at punching it in. So a backup Steelers back with a patchwork line won't do much. However, he gets the nod over Tanner because he is at least starting.

Tanner - Possible change of pace. Garbage time, for sure.

Blount is taken. That would be interesting though, starting both Martin and Blount. Anyway, I don't expect miracles from Dwyer but compared with my other options, at least I know he'll get a real chance.

Wow, 122 yards rushing from Dyyer and helps me get the win this week. Now don't know whether to drop him! Depending on how injured Jacksonville's starting RB is, I could see Rashad Jennings being popular this waiver week.

I'd definitely take Jennings over Dwyer. Mendenhall's injury wasn't suppose to be serious. MJDs could be season ending.
