Pavelski Vs. Ward+JVR
Hey everyone, league's in my sig.
I've been offered Ward and JVR. for Lil Joe Pavelski which really fills a hole in my goalkeeping but I would like to know what everyone thinks of JVR in a points only league. I'd be dropping someone like Kunitz or Garrison to open up a spot for him.
Think it might be a better option to counter with Ward + a pick? He would have pick 6, 14, 26 ...............

I can see how goalies would be undervalued in this league as well as how Pavelski would command such a good return but JVR still has a chance to be something at least close to as good as Pavelski. Basically, you fill a hole by grabbing Ward and then land a lottery ticket in JVR. It's a nice balance that I would likely jump on.
I would take that deal without thinking twice.

Think I got this deal done by targeting a GM with a surplus of goalies. Contacted him through email before making a counter offer (Appealed to him on a personal basis) and put JVR into question going from Wing to Centre/new team/injury and got a pick out of it
Only my 2nd year in fantasy sports but I def learned fast when checking trade proposals, appeal to people's self-interests, never to their mercy or gratitude. I love psychological warfare....
