Default Help! Do I trade Nicks+ for McFadden?

I recently traded away BJGE and then lost Williams to injury, so right now I've only got McCoy and SJax as starting RB's with D Richardson, Vereen and Best as backups.

I'm in discussions with the guy owning McFadden about a trade. It seems like it would take something like Nicks + LaFell to get it done, but I'm not sure if it really helps me that much.

    Lineup before trade:
    QB: Rivers
    RB: McCoy, SJax
WR: AJ Green, Nicks, Torrey Smith
    Flex: Stevie Johnson
    TE: Daniels

Bench: D Richardson, Vereen, Best, LaFell, Pitta

    After trade:
    QB: Rivers
    RB: McCoy, McFadden
WR: AJ Green, Torrey Smith, Stevie Johnson
    Flex: McFadden
    TE: Daniels

The twist is that McFadden is done with his bye week, so without a trade I will have to start Vereen (or Best) for a week or two.

I would do it. Your team looks like it needs some work, and Steven Jackson is not good so with him as your RB2 I don't see your team being able to compete.

If you can play a TE in your flex, then maybe Pitta would be a better option to start instead of Jackson. If you can't play a TE in the flex, I would hope Pitta has a big game this weekend. If he does, trade him for a decent WR.

Thanks! Not sure I agree on your evaluation of SJax. He started out with the groin injury and continued with a really tough schedule, but he has done better than all other rb's in most of his matchups.

76 yards vs the Cardinals (8th best against the run) - Lynch 85, McCoy 70, Bush 67
55 vs the Seahawks (3rd best against the run) - Murray 44, Benson 45, DeAngelo 6
Limited vs the Bears (4th best against the run)
58 yards and left the game early vs the Redskins
53 yards vs the Lions (5th best against the run) Gore 89, CJ2K 24, AP 102

So the fact is that his schedule has been HORRIBLE and actually doesnt get much easier, starting with the Dolphins this week. So while I agree on selling SJax I base the descision more on his tough schedule than how much he sucks. Right now I will wait until he has a good game or two and sell, because I'm sure they are coming.

Oh, and I'm not starting him as my flex. Because of the injuries he is now my clear cut RB2 ahead of Vereen and Jahvid Best.
