"Official" NHL13 Game Thread

I'll try my best to set this up after work tonight.

let the thread know the name, i'll join.

My work league (with 7 guys) rolls schedule consistantly every wednesday and sundays. Games played or not, i force the sim on the leagues remaining games if people haven't played.

On another note, I spent about an hour on practice mode playing 1v1 on the goalie w/ M Richards. I figured out how to pretty consistantly score using a wrist shot up high. The SLIGHTEST shift of the goalie and you shoot to the top shelf and it is in. It seems all about causing goalie shifts.

In older games most of those seem to turn into saves. shrug... No wondier the AI likes to collapse and protect the net so much... or else they would be giving away goals like crazy.

On breakaways I've had a lot of success recently simply doing drag to forehand-backhand-forehand wrister.

Like a quick half deke? around the hash marks roughly? still need to shelf it.

I find a toe drag helps throw a goalie off as well.

You can do this from the right side. Infront of the slot... etc. *sigh*.

Even cross crease/onetimers weren't THIS easy before.

You can do this from the right side. Infront of the slot... etc. *sigh*.

Just coming in slightly to the side... ie: if your guy is left handed, pull to the left to make him snug to the post then just quick to backhand to make him shift, then quick wrister from forehand.

Haha it's basically just forehand-backhand-forehand. Doesn't always work but I've tucked quite a few away top corner or between pads and glove/blocker.

i tink I used to use that in 08 or 09 and the goalie had a split second where he would drop and raise his glove while shifting/hugging the post... it always went in. lol

I used to be able to pull off the left handed cradle-backhand-forehand-backhand like clockwork.....not so much anymore. Im not sure if my skills have went down or they've made it harder.

I picked St Louis Blues.
Search league and Join.
More details to follow as we figure this out.

Just signed up for the 360 league as Carolina (my Bruins were taken). Is there anyway to switch teams if I change my mind?

No you can't change teams, the commisioner has to kick you from the season and then you can rejoin as another team available.

I am going to try and join this league too, hopefully I get an awful team lol kiddin.

I was asking because I am playin in one at All-Star and I'm the Rangers, the other guys are having a really hard time winning, but I have trouble beating them. though I am 18-3-1 right now, none of them are over .500.

If its on pro, that will be fun.
