PMB Shootout goal...

I was at the game last night and that was a SICK move by Bouchard. It was the same as his spin-o-rama goal as he pulled against the Hawks in the shootout (Dec. 5th/06). Speaking of spin-o-rama\'s Campbell pulled it out again in OT and almost beat Backstrom with a backhander. Too bad Backstrom sucks in shootouts and on penalty shots. He got beat high for all three goals.

Watching hockey with American fans was kind of interesting... I\'ve never heard so much ooing and awwing when the puck goes 10 feet wide of the net :P

How long is the trek to Minnesota for you Maple (from Thunder Bay I think you said in an earlier post)?

That Minny crowd is great, they really love there team. What do you think about that huge light house they have in the corner of the stands, smoking and blowin horns.

I was really surprised to see how much they love little koivu there. And how much they hate skoula. People were actually yelling at skoula when he would touch the puck and boo him. I thought it was hilarious.

Normally it takes between 6-6.5 hours to Minneapolis/St.Paul. My buddy was definately speeding so it only took 5 and 1/4 hrs. We went down for the whole weekend. I couldn\'t get over how cheap the booze was at the liquor store haha I was definately drunk all weekend long

Yeah the crowd is great... it was my first ever NHL game so I was definately trying to take it all in. The crowd got seriously into it once Rolston tied it in the final minute.

They\'re quite active, they were booing any penalty call (especially the penalty shot). That save by Marleau in OT... wow Gabby got robbed!!!! Nobody could believe it didn\'t go in.

I\'ve been to a Raptors game... and the noise level didn\'t even compare to that of the Wild game last night, it was nuts. A little quiet for the first 55 mins though.

Yeah, the Wild haven\'t given the fans much to cheer about the last few weeks. Still, I\'ve gotta admit, I\'m pretty spoiled. The games are always fun to attend, even when they\'re not doing so hot.

hey mapletreemarty, did you catch any of the State High School hockey tournament over the weekend? They were sold out overflow at Xcel, 19,000 plus for the games...and some great games were played this weekend.

I really enjoyed the twin cities it was great, and the low low prices were a little overwhelming haha. Unfortunately I didn\'t catch any of the State High School Hockey tournament. I heard it was great. It was my first time in the twin cities so we had to check stuff out like drinking lots of cheap liquor, Mall of America, drinking more cheap liquor...etc.etc.etc. :silly:

Probably Skoula...didn\'t see for sure. You can trace about 75% of the bad goals the Wild give up directly to a bonehead move Skoula made. I wish I were kidding.

I suppose turnabout is fair play re: the economy here lately. When I was in Toronto a few years back (smack dab in the middle of that whole SARS \'epidemic\' LOL) things were pretty damn cheap then, too. Hopefully we can bounce back pretty soon, but in the meantime, all you guys north of the border should come on down and live it up! B)

Alcohol in the States is soooo cheap and you can buy it everywhere. WIsh Canada had the same laws except for the age requirement.
