Luca Caputi suprises at camp, makes the Pens and lands on Crosby\'s wing where he proceeds to score 35 goals and adds 40 assists and wins the Calder........[ya,I own him.]

possible, but a lot of things have to fall his way for that to happen. as we saw with price this year, a goalie really needs to get a lot of starts to be considered for the calder. He isn\'t my choice, but what about Jonathan Bernier ?
what does bernier need? labarbera gone somehow, and a defence corps that actually knows how to do its job.
Also I think if Brunnstrom signs with Det he has a good chance to be a top 5 rookie next season.

both of them are gonna be very good, i read on rotowire that john davidson is just smitten over tj oshie, and they just cant wait to get him in a blues uniform... they wanted him this past year but he wanted to return to the fighting sioux for one last season... i picked oshie in my draft when berglund was still available, i wish i coulda gotten them both. I think it was on hockeysfuture.com that they said in a couple of years, oshie / berglund will be the best 1-2 center punch in the league outside of pittsburgh, of course.ultra go for berglund.

this thread is making me giddy over my prospects... i havent read the whole thing but what about francois bouchard? viktor kozlov is not the answer in washington for a first line rw, honestly i dont think eric fehr is either. Pierre Marc\'s little bro could have himself a prime gig there, i think he definitely lines up with either ovie or semin next year...

I agree Buck. I also like the situation of Luca Caputi in Pittsburgh.

I actually don\'t believe that at all. If you look at the amount of time that Datsyuk and Zetty were given to excel and the patience the organization took with them I think we\'ll see the same in Brunnstrom\'s case. Look at Hudler now, a lot of teams would have him playing like crazy, granted he probably could have had a more effective impact than he has (not that what he\'s done is bad) but they\'ve taken their time and eventually he\'ll round out to be a good player with less risk that he won\'t in giving him too much to chew on.ultrawhiteness wrote:

Does St-Louis will play both Oshie and Berglund ?
Oshie a contender now ?
IMO, Turris.
Gretz is a smart guy...look for him to take a page from Blackhawks and really start exploiting his young talent the way the hawks did with Kane and Toews

My question is why Dobber has Matthias high on the rookie of the year chart and Okposo isn\'t even on there while his Prospect rankings Okposo is significantly higher than Matthis...?
btw Matthias is a C not a LW

My guess is, or at least what i think, Okposo has a higher up side but will not contribute as much his first year or 2. Where as Mattias with Florida not having much depth or at least not talented depth, should be able to step right in to at the very least a third line role. And i would say its a goalies turn for rookie of the year. So im going to say Pekka Rinne or maybe Pavelec if or when Lehtonen goes down!

Florida has very few LW options. Matthias will get some long looks beside Jokinen.

I\'d say Oshie if he had a different coach. Murray is extremely conservative with young guys. Oshie has been NHL-ready for the past two seasons.
