Who will win rookie of the year next season(08-09)

I\'m in the same boat as all of you guys.. Turris, Brassard, Berglund, Hensick, NOT RYAN! All of these guys we are looking at have the chance to do big things.. But I really think next year is the goalie year... Rask, Bernier, Pavelec, even Pogge can do so also... On D I really like the chances of Franson, Lee, and if given a chance Sanguinetti! Next year is going to be so wide open.. Should be fun to see who pulls out on top... Crap how could we all forget Oshie, and Eller,, yes Eller! I think he has a good chance of coming here to play...

Not sure if he\'ll be eligible, but there\'s lots of talk about Fabian Brunnstrom too. He\'s not drafted, so if he chooses to play in the NHL, he can pick a team. Depending on where that is, and who he plays with ... he could win rookie of the year.

Turris would be next.

I ihope it Rask but I think Pavalec will be the best out of the group. Bernier will have a tough year next year. Expect big things from him in 2 years.

Here\'s the thing while I dont think Barry \"The A-Rad killer\" Trotz will let Franson play enoughwhen he gets to the show I think when Franson starts to play regularly we could see the next Housley to Selanne. It\'s been said many a times but Franson was the best breakout passer in the WHL and they said the same thing at the WJHC. This kid could be the perfect option to launch A-Rad.

A lot of love for Berglund on here. Hes sitting on waivers in my league and I may have to consider grabbing him. Is he worth keeping over Little or Brassard? I like the goalie crop this year as well and although I dont know if he is at the point in his development to challenge for the Calder- Jakub Kindl should be a d-man to watch. Tutoring from THN\'s best european player ever won\'t hurt either (that and I just like players named yacoob- lol!).

wow thanks for the input guys. there is so much to think about for picking up some of these guys. right now i have ryan, VanR, bernier and voracek as rookies next season. i really want turris but what do i offer for a guy that wont even play in the league till next season? should also consider taking berglund instead of ryan?

I\'m really setting up for the next few seasons with young guys.
so far i\'ve got toews, sam gagner, kane, horton, parise,zajac, perry, seabrook, carle, suter and bouwmeester.

maybe i should consider one of these guys for turris?

American winger

has looked really good playing for the US at the juniors for the last couple of years.

you can find him playing in Grand Forks for the University of North Dakota Fighting Sioux (one of the best jerseys in hockey). Good place to play, hockey factory, turned out Z Parise, among others.
