too bored to work - blues vs flames requests?

hey gang, so this being the lowpoint of my short career thusfar, i\'ve been looking for any excuse to waste my time

i\'m going to the flames-blues game next week and will be giving the ol\' hawkeye to some of those young blues. any requests for players you would like to have me scope out? the seats are 7th row, so i can pick up a lot of the character stuff that can be missed on tv (for instance, if perron plays i\'ll be watching pretty closely for signs of the issues he\'s been having that dobber reported on recently).

I just picked up McDonald in hopes of him coming back to a PPG form like when he first joined the team. But Nada.

seriously though, i\'m not a huge fan of hale (does such a fan exist?) but i pull for him everytime he gets the puck in the offensive zone.

Such a fan does exist! He may be the worst point producer per ice time in the NHL (TSN\'s recent article) and he\'s gunning for worst goalscorer, but lately (key word) he\'s been very good defensively for a #5/6 D. He\'s been pretty solid and he\'s playing with a lot of confidence right now IMO.

He was pretty bad at the beginning of the season, but he\'s been very solid lately. I mean he\'s no Phaneuf or Regehr...but that\'s not what\'s expected of him.

Im just flat out jealous of all y\'all Flames fans who actually get to watch the team play. Living in Vancouver for most of my life and Windsor occassionally I\'m often stuck watching Leafs or Canucks games. Torturous I assure you. Who wants to watch a Canuck game really? And the Leafs, hell you dont even need to be in Ontario to see 60 Leaf games on TV. You want a reason the NHL is struggling, the Leafs are on TV.

David hale may just be the next Bryce Salvador.

I\'m a huge fan of Bryce. He can skate, he can pass, he can check, he can score in bunches, and he\'s probably the best leader now in New jersey.

Hale may, in a few years, be a poor man\'s Bryce Salvador.

I grew up in StL, the Twister was as loved as Hull, Chase wasn\'t far behind. I\'ve been telling people recently that Cote reminded me of Chase, not the biggest guy, but he\'ll have a go with anyone.

He would just sit back with his right arm cocked and take punch after punch and then unleash the right haymaker and if he connected, Nighty Night.

I remember him and, here\'s a name for you, Francois Leroux (with Pens) and Twist (w/ Blues) fought and Leroux opened him up (Leroux ended up getting ejected for having him thumb taped up) and he was bleeding everywhere and just going crazy trying to get to Leroux as the linesman were breaking it up.

Sorry Ultrawhiteness to go a little off topic here, but I sort of remember a story my Dad told that I\'m a bit fuzzy on, and I was wondering if anyone could shead any light on it.

This would have been in the early 70\'s, maybe 70. The Flyers were in Stl and I think he said it was Schultz who gave a 2 handed over head stick chop to a Blue and split his head open.. Noel Picard jumped him and was holding him by the hair beating his face into the ice, then when they were getting him off the ice Barkley Plager jumped him on the mats on the way to the dressing room.

Does anyone know of this or anything like this?
