What do Spezza\'s stats, prorated to 105 points, look like in your pool setup? (sorry, I\'m feeling far too lazy to do this myself). If they\'re not too different, I would say Spezza based on youth, and I think he\'ll outgrow his injuries as he continues to get bigger.

Even with his injury concerns I still take Spezza. Big Joe is stil putting up monster numbers but he is just a little better Marc Savard right now. Spezza is four years younger and is still on the upswing.

Now if we can only get him to stop being nicked up every damn season....

Spezza is 569.50 averaging 8.8 FPP
Thornton is 519.00 averaging 7.9 FPP

The reason why i\'m asking is because of his injury history. Thornton is usually a lock for 100+ a year and Spezza would be also if he could stay healthy...

I thought I\'d say Thornton but looking at the stats I like Spezza more. And yeah he\'s missed quite a few games the past couple of years but he\'ll be fine. So I\'d take Spezza.
We get one of these - Don't waste it.

I guess I\'m in the minority, but I\'ll vote for Thornton. Spezza\'s upside is a hair higher [as Joe has had a below average year], but I like JT to have a better chance [consistently] of getting to his upside for a while longer yet.

Either way you can\'t go too far wrong here...unless Spezza gets hurt...again.

you can\'t go wrong either way here. but it\'s tough to ignore the points per game argument. I think two season in a row now Spezza is better in that regard. and it\'s not like he has the same nagging injury, more like fluke injuries. then there is linemates to consider. I would take Spezza\'s linemates over Thornton\'s. if Joe was still a big pim threat this would be tougher, but he has turned into a *****.
