i mean come on...losing out on gomez...even rafalski...
what are they going to have left to pick from...?
i heard kubina from toronto...might as well wave the white flag...
cause no one wants to play here...!

time to pull an ottawa and flush out the front office ...

i\'m gettin tired of the \"old boys club\" being run here in e-town...

feeling bad for the fans. i know people think philly is crazy but these contracts are prolly the only thing that will bring these guys to town. edmonton has been looking for a puck moving D man since pronger left, then they shipped out bergeron who was pretty much the closest thing they had to one without replacing him. lowe has been saying he\'s been trying but dam, they must have something that they can offer to get the type of D man that they need. i think if he cant get anything done in the next bit then they should let someone else try cause he aint doing something right. remember tho, i aint got much room to talk, we just sunk 16+ mill into 3 guys, but i guess at least Homer is trying.

yeah but at least philly has done something to fix thier team...in fact i think they\'ve done everything they\'ve needed to address...
timmonen on defence check,...biron starting in goal check,...and thier #1 center in briere check...what else do you need with your rising stock of young talent....just wait till they bloom ...
    right on...
i think i\'ll switch sides hehe
    philly all the way...
and to think holmgren has done much better than when clarke was in charge...

holmgren looks like he has done a very decent job of rebuilding the flyers.

    BUT...

Let\'s wait to review his status until we see the full effect of the long term contracts and diminishing returns.

Besides... when anything above last is an improvement, how can he do worse?

TG not sure if you have heard but the Rangers have signed Gomez to a 7 year deal worth over $50 million. That was the latest news anyways. Sorry if you have already heard this news.

Well Z. I have to think that Mr. Lowe was hoping to have more of an impact. It must be very frustrating. He can\'t compete with those contracts. At the same time, I don\'t think that he wants to compete with what is being paid out for what you are getting in return. A 70 point player is worth 10 million a year, on a front loaded contract? It must be very difficult to manage a team with group ownership. Nothing could be done in a timely fashion and when a decision is made, it is to late.

I am guessing that Nylander centres Hemsky. Hope he can stay healthy. He is going to find it a lot tougher in Edmonton. The play in the west is different than what he has been playing in the east.

Totally agree HOLMGREN certainley has made BOLD and BIG steps for the FLYERS as for the OILERS----same old same old--maybe they will give us LINDROS(hope not) and feed him to the masses as a SAVIOR.

Next years FA group is supposed to be better than this year--so they have another season to dump more $$$$ and then blow there load next year

    I feel sorry for HEMSKY

If Lowe doesn\'t get Hemsky help, one of two things are going to happen. Hemsky is going to ask to be traded or he is going to end up on Dobber\'s \'bandaid\' list. Other teams will just run him. I also feel sorry for him.

I really feel sorry for the Edmonton fans. What have they got to be excited about. I consider their situation to be worse than the years of past experience in Chicago. Chicago at least had \'some\' players. Edmonton has nothing other than Hemsky.

I am gettin desperate enough to say, go ahead and sign Yashin. He is definitely talented enough if maybe Tav can get his head on straight. I think Yashin feels that he has something to prove.

The Oil are shooting for Tavares, figure killing themselves this year gives them an inside shot at being shit next year as well.
